The interview process

The interview process is short (but thorough) and will consist of 3 steps:

1. Technical interview: you present a personal project or one of your prior involvements from end to end, with our team asking targeted questions
2. Pair-Programming Session: you collaborate with one of our engineers on a practical task. We focus on problem-solving approach, communication, code structure, and how you reason about changes in real time.
3. Feedback: you will receive feedback about the technical conversation either in written form or through a call

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise / Domain Architect to join a strategic customer data transformation initiative for a large-scale retail business.

This role is focused on designing and driving the architecture for Customer Data Foundations, including a Single Customer View and enhanced 360-degree customer view using the Salesforce ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with strong experience in customer data platforms, data governance, CRM, and marketing technology.

Europe-based candidates only.
The role can be remote, with the ability to work within UK/EU business hours.

Responsibilities

• Define and document current and target architecture, including clear solution blueprints for each programme phase.
• Own the architectural roadmap for customer data foundations and customer 360 capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, business, CRM, marketing, data, and technology stakeholders.
• Partner with data engineering and data governance teams to define the target customer data model.
• Establish clear rules around customer data ownership, mastering, governance, and system responsibilities.
• Identify key architectural decisions and prepare Architecture Decision Records with options and recommendations.
• Support programme-level and domain-level design governance.
• Ensure technical delivery is aligned with business objectives and long-term architecture strategy.
• Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

• Support vendor and technology evaluation when required.

   

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with the Salesforce ecosystem, especially Salesforce CRM.
• Experience with Salesforce Data 360 / Customer Data Platform or similar CDP solutions.
• Proven experience designing or implementing Single Customer View, Customer 360, MDM, or customer data platforms.
• Strong understanding of customer data, customer profiling, CRM, marketing technology, and data governance.
• Experience working closely with data engineering and data governance teams.
• Ability to define target customer data models and resolve challenges related to fragmented customer data.
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, or another customer-heavy business domain.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to influence CRM, marketing, business, and technology leadership.
• Experience with vendor evaluation, RFI/RFP processes, or technical recommendation preparation.
• Proactive and hands-on mindset with the ability to work at both enterprise and detailed technical levels.
• Ability to work within UK/EU business hours.
