    • Integrate AI/ML pipelines and model operations from Azure ML Studio
    • Implement secure device communication (TLS, certificate management, encrypted channels)
    • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of orchestration services
    • Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, containerization, and release management
    • Support cross-platform device management (Windows & Linux)
    • Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and code quality standards

    • Experience working with IoT or edge device ecosystems
    • Solid understanding of secure communication protocols (TLS, PKI, cert rotation)
    • Experience integrating with cloud platforms (Azure)
    • Knowledge of container orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, K3s, Edge K8s)
    • Exposure to MLOps / AI model lifecycle management
    • Strong database experience (SQL/NoSQL)
    • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers
    • Experience operating in Linux environments

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with device fleet provisioning at scale
    • Automotive, Manufacturing, or Industrial QA domain experience
    • Familiarity with Zero-Trust or outbound-only edge security models
    • Contributions to platform observability (logging, telemetry, tracing)

    About the Role
We are looking for a strong Ruby Engineer to join our team in a Tier 3 (L3) escalation capacity within a payments infrastructure environment.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy deep problem-solving, production debugging, and working closely with real-world SaaS users.

    Core Responsibilities
    • Investigate and troubleshoot complex production issues across Ruby-based systems.
    • Analyze and clearly distinguish between:
    Product bugs
    Expected system behavior
    Customer integration or configuration issues
    • Debug API integrations and payment gateway interactions.
    • Reproduce and analyze issues using tools such as Postman, internal logs, and monitoring systems.
    • Act as the Tier 3 technical escalation layer for customer-facing support teams.
    • Provide structured, well-written technical explanations for Support and customers.
    • Document findings and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
    • Collaborate with Core Engineering when product changes or fixes are required.
    • Participate in technical reviews and RFC discussions when needed.
    • Communicate primarily in written format; leverage AI tools to enhance clarity and efficiency.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Deep experience debugging API-driven and distributed systems.
    • Strong understanding of REST APIs and payment gateway integrations.
    • Advanced Postman proficiency.
    • Working knowledge of fullstack troubleshooting (low-to-medium proficiency across multiple languages).
    • Ability to emulate customer-side implementations (iFrame + HTML/JS).
    • Experience tracing system interactions across services (e.g., gateway → core → orchestration layer).
    • Strong analytical mindset and comfort operating in ambiguous environments.
    • Excellent written English communication skills.
    • Comfortable working primarily in text-based communication.
    • Willingness to leverage AI tools to improve clarity and efficiency.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience in fintech or payments infrastructure.
    • Familiarity with SaaS platforms and customer-facing systems.
    • Experience working in escalation, support engineering, or reliability roles.
    • Understanding of system monitoring and observability practices.

    Why This Role Is Unique
This position provides real-world exposure to how SaaS products behave in production and how end users interact with them. It is especially valuable for engineers interested in building their own SaaS or product in the future, as you’ll gain deep insight into customer integrations, edge cases, and real production environments.

Our Client was established with the mission to fundamentally transform the execution of capital projects and operations. Designed by industry experts for industry experts, our Client’s platform empowers users to digitally search, visualize, navigate, and collaborate on assets. Drawing on 30 years of software expertise and 180 years of industrial legacy as part of the renowned Scandinavian business group, Client plays an active role in advancing the global energy transition. The company operates from Norway, the UK, and the U.S.

What you tell your friends you do: “I develop the identity and access management (IAM) that keeps my company secure and seamless, shaping the product experience as much as the code.”

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Build and evolve our backend services in C#/.NET, owning key parts of our IAM-domain
    • Design and maintain integrations between our portal, backend services, and assorted third-party systems.
    • Work across a broad surface area: backend, React frontend, and the DevOps infrastructure that keeps everything running.
    • Shape features with the product team - scoping, estimating, and challenging the “why” behind what we build.
    • Mentor teammates, contribute to architectural discussions, and help facilitate agile ceremonies.
    • Support a team that owns everything end-to-end, from infra to UI.

How will the work look like

    • Working as part of a self-driven team of seven that owns an entire “app within the app” -  full flow, full responsibility.
    • Using and improving our DevOps setup (Terraform, CI/CD, cloud platforms), building on the foundations already established.
    • Mostly focusing on backend, but with the opportunity to jump into frontend and infrastructure when it makes sense.
    • Collaborating closely with other engineering teams and other disciplines to balance technical depth with user and business needs.
    • Bringing your experience and the right attitude to help the team scale.
    • We are using Frontegg as IDP (not important to have experience), SCIM, SSO, OAUTH 2.0

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience with C# or .Net, including building and maintaining production-grade systems.
    • Engineer with a strong sense of ownership, capable of operating effectively across a broad and evolving technical landscape.
    • Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code approaches (preferably Terraform).
    • Practical experience working within Identity & Access Management (IAM) or related identity/security domains.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, coordinate work across teams, and actively contribute to architectural design and technical decision-making.
    • Product-oriented mindset with the ability to consider business goals, user needs, and system impact, not solely implementation details.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with Azure cloud
    • Experience with React
    • Ability to travel abroad once a year for an on-site team building (Oslo, Norway)
