Jobs at Djinni

Short overview of the project (What technology stack is used on the project, and length of the project)

AI tourism platform looking for a Team Lead Product Engineer who uses AI to ship fast.

📚 Our stack:

Backend: Go monorepo (no framework, 3+ services)

Hosting: PaaS-managed containers, local setup fully mirrors production via Docker Compose

Tools: Jaeger tracing, Betterstack (Logging, Alerting), Redis Asynq queue

Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis

AI tooling: Claude Code (mandatory)

🚢 Products you will lead a pod on:

An AI search & recommendation engine for major travel enterprises: heavy client integration work (SSO, security reviews, GDS integrations) with demanding enterprise customers

A content enrichment API: high-scale, data- and AI-focused backend work

Partner and supplier integrations, data ingestion pipelines, LLM providers

Employment and number of hours per week/month (part-time, full-time, freelance)

Engagement: full-time, 40 hours/week

Candidate’s location and required Time Zone for work

Location: remote, within ±3 hours of CET

Timezone is the main priority, so your usual scope of EU and Ukraine within the required overlap works well.

Language of communication

Language: English required

Functional responsibilities (What will an employee do on the project?)

⚠️ European or African timezones (±3 hours from CET) Available full-time (40 hours/week)

⚠️IMPORTANT: This is not a traditional coding role. You'll use Claude Code and other AI tools to 10x your output, always thinking about how the product or feature you are working on benefits the user. Also: we have no QA team, you OWN the quality of what you ship!

A Team Lead is the spokesperson, coordinator and facilitator for their pod, internally with product, design and leadership, and externally with clients. You come from the management path, not the deep-specialist path: you have seen a lot as a developer and have consciously decided that enabling a team, working with clients and driving product outcomes is what energises you now, not coding all day.

You remain a hands-on engineer. Expect roughly 30-40% of your week on coordination, client and product work, and the rest as an individual contributor. This is not an HR-style people-management role: no performance reviews, no career coaching. As we scale, light one-on-ones and check-ins may become part of it, but the job is coordination and delivery, not administration.

What you'll actually do:

Be the spokesperson for your pod, internally with product, design and leadership, and externally with clients and partners

Coordinate work across the pod: break initiatives into chunks, sequence them, surface blockers and facilitate hand-offs (lightweight project management, we deliberately have no project managers)

Gather client requirements first-hand and funnel them straight into the pod so nothing gets lost in translation

Represent your pod in product planning sessions and bring a strong product-driven point of view to scoping and trade-offs

Help pod members with product decisions and prioritisation, enabling engineers who may be technically stronger than you

Contribute hands-on as an engineer: own features end-to-end, use Claude Code to generate Golang backend code, review AI output for quality and architectural fit

Join client meetings to align on requirements, report on delivery and keep the relationship professional and calm

Requirements for a candidate

Min 5 years of experience

2-3+ years of technical leadership experience leading a team, squad, pod or similar unit (a hard must, think team lead or early-stage engineering manager)

A developer's background (5 years minimum): you have seen production reality with your own hands before moving towards leading people

A genuinely product-driven mindset: you think about user value and business outcomes before implementation

Comfort facilitating and coordinating a pod without relying on formal authority

Willingness and ability to take part in client meetings and act as the external face of your pod

Excellent spoken and written English for planning sessions, stakeholder updates and client conversations

Ownership mentality with a strive for elegantly simple, high-quality solutions; you test your own work thoroughly since we have no QA team

Proven experience using Claude Code, share specific examples

Solid Golang experience, you'll review AI's code and you must understand how it works

Ability to do on-call once in a while to help maintain our platform's reliability & uptime

Must-Have Requirements (Team Lead — no flexibility on any)

Go (Golang): Real production experience, not just personal projects. No flexibility on other technologies.

AI/backend engineering: Deep knowledge of building and productionizing complex AI systems — observability, reliability, quality

Product mindset: Ability to think beyond engineering toward product outcomes

Leadership: Capable of leading without needing coaching or internal mentoring

English communication: Very strong, given client-facing responsibilities

Minimum 5 years of experience across the board

Candidates should be responsible for testing their own code — QA ownership expected

The Team Lead will head a small pod (not a traditional manager with direct reports)

Client-facing responsibilities begin from onboarding, with full client-facing ownership expected to grow over time

Also they will have on-call duties (now it’s during working hours and weekends, rotation among team members, but later they want to have 24/7 on call, so one person will be on-call for 24 hours (probably) and it will be compensated extra).

Nice-to-Have

German language: A significant bonus but not required — the one criteria the client can flex on

Any special requirements for the person

❤️ You are a great fit if you:

Made the classic developer's fork-in-the-road decision, lifelong engineer or leading people, and chose people, clients and product

Are energised by product planning sessions and have opinions about what the pod should build next, not just how

Are comfortable being the face of your pod, in internal planning rooms and on calls with enterprise clients

Enjoy enabling engineers who are technically stronger than you

CURRENT ROLE ONLY FOR EUROPE_BASED CANDIDATES!

We're looking for a Senior Windows Kiosk Imaging Engineer to take an existing Windows 11 IoT Enterprise kiosk image from lab prototype to release master. The devices run a Unity application in Shell Launcher kiosk mode; you won't touch the application itself, but you'll own everything around it — provisioning, lockdown, account structure, driver integration, and the capture/restore pipeline that gets the image onto real hardware. A master image already exists and boots, but seven open items currently block deployment, and full documentation for the existing scripts, handbook, and procedures will be handed over at the start. The first phase is release-master work and is the busiest period; once deployment is stable, the engagement shifts into lighter, ongoing image support and maintenance. You'll work directly with the project's technical lead and build on a documented script tree and handbook left by the previous engineer, rather than starting from a blank page. This is senior, hands-on Windows systems and imaging work — not application development — for someone who can be productive configuring the environment from day one.

Details:
Schedule: Full time
Location: Remote in Europe
Start: ASAP
Duration: Long-term
English: Fluent
Type of collaboration: B2B Contract

About the project:
The project involves a fleet of Windows 11 IoT Enterprise kiosk devices running a Unity application locked down via Shell Launcher kiosk mode. A master image already exists on a lab USB stick — it boots and runs, but it isn't yet a release master, and seven documented items remain open before it can be deployed at scale. The work spans PowerShell provisioning, account and autologon rework, sysprep and answer-file configuration, driver integration across two hardware board revisions, boot-chain and firmware considerations (UEFI, Secure Boot, custom boot logo), and disciplined handling of Windows Update. Image capture and restore currently run through Clonezilla, with Rescuezilla used for field backups; documentation covering capture, packaging, and restore already exists and will be shared. Two known security items — a plaintext administrator password in a shipped config file, and a shared API key/TOTP secret embedded in the application — are also in scope, though not blocking deployment. You'll validate all work first against a reference machine and then on real kiosk hardware.

You have:
- Senior, hands-on experience with Windows systems and imaging — deep enough to configure kiosk mode, build ISO images, and troubleshoot at a low level
- Proven, practical experience configuring Windows kiosk mode (Shell Launcher), including keyboard filtering and locking down what the running account can do
- Strong PowerShell scripting experience: local accounts, registry policy, ACLs, services, scheduled tasks, and RunOnce entries
- Experience with master image workflows — sysprep and unattend.xml, disk shrink/extend, and image capture/restore (Clonezilla, Rescuezilla, or equivalent)
- Experience integrating drivers for specific target hardware, ideally across multiple board revisions
- Familiarity with boot chain and firmware topics: UEFI, Secure Boot, custom boot logos
- Comfort managing Windows Update behavior consistently across a reference machine, a captured image, and deployed devices
- Ability to describe past relevant projects and experience in detail — general familiarity or willingness to learn is not a substitute for proven, hands-on experience
- Ability to join and start configuring the environment almost immediately, without an extended ramp-up period

What to do:
- Replace the image's current provisioning scripts wholesale with the up-to-date pipeline, and remove leftover scheduled tasks from the previous design
- Rework the local account structure down to exactly two accounts: a passwordless standard kiosk user and a password-protected local administrator, retiring legacy support accounts and demoting the kiosk account out of Administrators (retesting Bluetooth after the change)
- Rework the autologon handoff so the first boot signs in as administrator for elevated provisioning, then hands off cleanly to the kiosk account for every boot after (removing the plaintext credential in the process)
- Write the unattend.xml answer file and run the sysprep generalize pass as part of image capture
- Move first-boot provisioning from an unreliable SYSTEM scheduled task to a RunOnce entry tied to the first-boot administrator logon
- Integrate drivers for both target hardware board revisions, replacing the current VM-only driver set
- Establish consistent Windows Update handling across the reference machine, image capture, and deployed devices
- Address the two documented security gaps: the plaintext administrator password in the shipped config, and the shared API key/TOTP secret in the application's install.xml
- Validate all changes on a reference machine first, then confirm on real kiosk hardware across both board revisions

What this role actually is

This is a hands-on operational role. Your customers are our employees. The work is a mix of live support, access administration, endpoint and MDM management, onboarding and offboarding, equipment logistics, and documentation, plus improving those processes so the same problems stop coming back.

You will own requests end-to-end rather than passing them along, work directly with non-technical colleagues, and handle several things at once on a busy day. Routine service work is a permanent part of the job, not a temporary phase before something else.

Key Responsibilities

• Own employee IT requests end-to-end: prioritize by impact and urgency, keep people informed, resolve, document, and prevent recurrence.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access across Google Workspace, Atlassian, GitHub, and AWS, applying least privilege.
• Run IT onboarding and offboarding: accounts provisioned on day one, access revoked promptly on exit, devices recovered.
• Prepare, configure, and maintain macOS and Windows workstations through MDM: policies, software deployment, patching, encryption, and recovery.
• Own IT equipment procurement, delivery, returns, and inventory accuracy for employees across supported locations, including international shipping and vendor coordination.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and SaaS issues methodically: reproduce, isolate, verify.
• Maintain IT documentation, knowledge-base articles, and asset records so support does not depend on one person being online.
• Reduce repetitive work through practical scripting and automation, and improve support processes without weakening security controls.
• Enforce IT security and access policies; recognize and escalate suspicious activity and access gaps.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, Service Desk, or system administration, with personal ownership of the areas above (not adjacent exposure while other teams handled them).
• Practical experience supporting macOS in a production employee environment.
• Hands-on MDM administration (Jamf, Kandji, Intune, JumpCloud, Hexnode, or similar): enrollment, policies, software deployment, compliance.
• Administration of Google Workspace, plus at least two of: Atlassian, GitHub access management, or cloud IAM (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Demonstrated ownership of access lifecycle — joiners, movers, leavers — including approval flows and least-privilege practice.
• Experience with equipment provisioning, inventory, and remote/international delivery.
• Solid understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP) and endpoint security basics (encryption, EDR, MFA/SSO).
• Experience working in a ticketing system with SLAs, and maintaining written documentation.
• Ability to handle a high volume of concurrent requests, interruptions, and difficult support situations while communicating calmly and clearly.
• At least one concrete example of automating or redesigning a repetitive support process, where you can explain your own contribution and the measurable outcome.
• Ukrainian: fluent. English: B1 or higher — enough to support colleagues, write tickets, and maintain documentation in an international company.

Nice to Have

• Scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Apple Business Manager, Zero-Touch / automated device deployment.
• Experience with VPN, LDAP, or ZTNA solutions.
• Exposure to ISO 27001 / SOC 2 processes or security audits.
• Interest in security topics (access control, endpoint security, Zero Trust).
• iGaming industry experience.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+/Network+, Google Workspace, Microsoft, Apple, or similar).

What We Offer

• Competitive Salary
• Quarterly Bonuses
• Unlimited Paid Time Off
• Unlimited Paid Sick Leave
• Remote & Flexible Working
• Private Medical Insurance
• Financial Support for Life Events
• Professional Development Budget
• International Exposure

Gonser is looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to build and own an Odoo Enterprise-based backup system for our e-commerce operations. This is a full-time, long-term role with flexibility to work remotely and required visits to Lviv when needed.

We believe that human expertise matters and is valued, ownership matters and is valued, and agency matters and is valued. We're not trying to replace devs with clankers (AI), and we're looking for people who don't necessarily go along with the mainstream, the hype of AI bros, or the doom and gloom about the future of software engineering.

About the role

Your first focus will be building an Odoo Enterprise-based backup system for our e-commerce operations, working closely with our existing development team. You’ll report directly to the CTO, collaborate with him on architecture and key technical decisions, and work with business teams to understand their workflows. The first milestone is a reliable fallback that lets customers continue to order, pay and receive their goods if our existing platform becomes unavailable.

This is a long-term engineering role, with the backup system as its first phase and further development of the platform over time. You’ll take primary responsibility for implementation and stay hands-on with development. As the project evolves, the team working on it may expand, with opportunities to help shape its technical direction and mentor new engineers.

• Use standard Odoo features where appropriate and build custom modules and integrations where needed
• Build reliable data synchronisation, including failure detection, safe retries, recovery and consistency checks
• Work with the webshop team on interfaces and with the infrastructure owner on deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting and failover testing
• Document architecture, integrations and recovery procedures, and automate tests for critical workflows and data integrity
• Occasionally build small internal scripts and automations, while keeping the ERP as your primary focus

Requirements

• Strong Python skills and experience building production systems
• Experience designing and delivering operational or ERP-like workflows and integrations
• Backend architecture, modular design, and maintainable code
• Relational databases: data modelling, migrations, query optimisation, and data integrity
• API integrations and reliable data synchronisation
• Background processing, retries, and recovery from failures
• Automated testing for critical workflows and integrations
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• You use Linux as your daily working environment (or at least MacOS)
• Permissions, access control, and secure handling of sensitive data
• Git in a team environment
• Clear technical documentation and comfort reading unfamiliar systems
• Ability to understand business workflows and turn them into technical solutions
• Working English for calls and written communication with Swiss colleagues
• Ability to travel to Lviv when needed, including visits of one to two weeks during the initial architecture phase, and for further visits when needed

Nice to have

• Odoo development or implementation experience
• Experience with Odoo modules, UI development, or version upgrades
• E-commerce experience
• PostgreSQL
• Docker is a strong plus
• Based in Lviv or willing to relocate

Odoo experience is optional. We provide dedicated learning time and paid learning materials, if needed.

Technologies & Tools

• Python 3.12+
• Odoo Enterprise
• PostgreSQL 16+
• Linux
• API integrations and automated testing
• Git and CI/CD

We're probably a good fit for each other if:

• You have your own opinion and stand by it - but you change it if someone presents better arguments.
• You'd rather ask an uncomfortable question now than release a low-quality feature later.
• You use AI very, very carefully, understanding where it's appropriate and where it's not; AI is a tool, not a replacement for your own thinking.
• You step away from the screen to think. Some of your best solutions happen on paper, during a walk, or in the shower. Maybe you even know who Rich Hickey is? (:
• You put yourself in the user's shoes before writing even a single line of code.
• When you see that something is wrong with a requirement, you speak up instead of silently building something that isn't needed.

We are offering

• Competitive salary, paid time off, and sick leave
• Offices with power stations & internet, just in case russia starts hitting our energy grid again
• Salary reviews at least once a year, but potentially more often
• We'll provide you with everything you need for productive work: software licenses, hardware, and any other gear you might need
• The opportunity to grow however you like. You have the chance to move up to a team lead position if that is what you want (and we will help you with that). If you want to stay strictly in engineering - that is also a completely viable path
• Flat-ish structure inside the department - titles mean different responsibilities and maybe different levels of expertise. Definitely not a rank
• Opinionated and lightweight processes that you can influence
• Dedicated time for system updates and refactoring - who likes rotting legacy code, right?
• All sorts of company events and activities, in case you want to do something together during the holidays or outside of them

Hiring process

A short interview with HR, a technical interview with the CTO where we explain the project and discuss a realistic ERP problem, and a final interview with the executive director of the Ukrainian branch. Then, an offer. There is no take-home assignment. We are ready to hire as soon as we find the right person; the start date can accommodate their availability.

Please send your CV and a few sentences about an operational system or integration you personally designed and delivered. A LinkedIn profile is welcome but optional.
