Middle Python / Full-Stack Developer (Fintech Platform)

About the Role
 

We are seeking an experienced Python / Full-Stack Developer to join our team in scaling and enhancing NEOFIN—a high-load digital lending and fintech platform. You will work directly with our core Django architecture, API ecosystems, and front-end interface builders to maintain and expand our Digital Wallet, Loan Management System, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) modules, decision engine, and third-party integrations. 

In this role, we strongly encourage and expect the use of modern AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude and Cursor) to accelerate feature delivery, streamline code refactoring, and automate complex workflows.

Core Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Maintain, build, and optimize isolated, pluggable Django applications using Python 3.6+ and Django REST Framework.
• API Development & Integration: Design and implement REST APIs, Mobile APIs, and integrations with payment gateways, external data providers, and credit bureaus.
• Database Management: Design schema models using Django ORM and write efficient PostgreSQL queries for middle- to high-load production environments.
• Frontend & No-Code Tools: Support UI/UX integrations using GrapesJS, Formio, and customized frontend modules for site builders and onboarding flows.
• Performance & Infrastructure: Optimize system scalability on AWS/virtual machines utilizing Nginx, uWSGI, Redis, RabbitMQ, Traefik, and Docker containers.
• Platform Customization: Implement features across the Loan Origination System (LOS), Underwriting Studio, CRM, past-due tracking/servicing modules, and BNPL widgets.
  Technical Requirements
  
  Must-Have Qualifications
   
• Primary Language & Framework: Core expertise in Python (3.6+) and Django Framework (3.x).
• API Frameworks: Hands-on experience building and consuming APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF), FistAPI.
• Databases: Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization, Django ORM).
• Caching & Message Queues: Experience with Redis and RabbitMQ for processing asynchronous tasks and background queues.
• Web Servers & Deployment: Experience configuring Nginx, uWSGI, and working with containerization via Docker.

• Version Control: Proficiency with Git (GitHub / GitLab workflow).
   

  Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
   

• Search Engines: Experience configuring Elasticsearch or Solr.
• Frontend Tools: Familiarity with frontend frameworks or builder libraries like GrapesJS and Form.io.
• Infrastructure & Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, Ubuntu LTS server administration, Traefik, and cluster balancers.
• Fintech Domain Knowledge: Prior experience building Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Loan Management Systems (LMS), BNPL modules, or payment gateway integrations.
