We are a small distributed digital product studio looking for a Manual QA Engineer who wants real ownership rather than a narrow ticket-testing role. You will work closely with the founder and developers, influence release quality, and help shape a practical QA process from the ground up.

WORKING FORMAT
• Workload: 20–25 hours per week
• Compensation: €1,200 per month

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
• End-to-end manual testing of a responsive consumer web product on desktop and mobile browsers
• Functional, exploratory, regression, smoke, usability, and cross-browser testing
• Testing critical user journeys: authentication, onboarding, account settings, subscriptions and payments, permissions, content and media workflows, and chat-style interactions
• Validation of API behaviour and integrations with Postman, Swagger, browser DevTools, logs, and test data
• Testing asynchronous operations, loading and retry states, error handling, edge cases, and interrupted user flows
• Clear bug reports with severity, environment, reproduction steps, screenshots or video, and expected versus actual results
• Maintaining lean test documentation: checklists, test cases, regression suites, and release notes
• Collaborating with product and engineering before development to clarify acceptance criteria and identify risks early
• Helping us use modern AI-assisted tools to generate test ideas, speed up investigation, and improve coverage while keeping human judgement in control

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• 1+ year of hands-on manual QA experience with production web applications
• Strong understanding of testing fundamentals, test design techniques, SDLC/STLC, and defect lifecycle
• Confident use of browser DevTools; understanding of HTTP, client-server architecture, cookies, sessions, and authentication
• Practical REST API testing experience with Postman or a similar tool
• Experience testing responsive interfaces across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, iOS, and Android
• Ability to create concise test documentation and communicate defects clearly
• Strong attention to detail, healthy scepticism, ownership, and the ability to organise your work independently
• English sufficient for reading technical documentation and writing clear bug reports

NICE TO HAVE
• Basic SQL and Git knowledge
• Experience with subscriptions, payment flows, media uploads, analytics events, or third-party integrations
• Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, or another browser automation tool

You will be responsible for identifying new payment partners, leading negotiations, coordinating integration and compliance processes, analyzing partnership performance, and ensuring the seamless operation of our payment solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Payments, FinTech, PSP, Processing, or related industries.
• Solid understanding of payment infrastructure, payment flows, pricing models, and transaction economics.
• Hands-on experience working with payment providers.
• Basic understanding of API integrations.
• Experience in risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing contracts, compliance procedures, and partner onboarding processes.

• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher.
