    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Systems & Data Analyst to analyze, provide requirements and document system requirements to ensure seamless system and data integration. This role involves working with complex datasets and system data flows, as you will collaborate with business and technical teams to translate needs into effective solutions, optimize reporting, and support data-driven decisions.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Perform system analysis and define requirements for performance metrics and monitoring tools
    • Contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of monitoring solutions, including the definition of dashboard structure, content, and key indicators
    • Optimise data processing and retrieval processes, ensuring efficient interaction with databases, data sources, and monitoring platforms
    • Identify opportunities for automation and drive the implementation of solutions that streamline routine analytical and system processes
    • Review and validate the quality of system solutions, configurations, and dashboards to ensure accuracy, reliability, and alignment with requirements
    • Collaborate closely with data engineering, architecture, and development teams to define requirements for automating reports, system integrations, and data flows, including contributions to data warehouse and system design

       

    Qualifications and Skills

    • 4+ years of hands-on experience as a System Analyst, Computer Systems Analyst, or a similar role involving system analysis of information systems, definition and maintenance of functional and non-functional requirements, and analysis of system architecture and integrations between systems
    • Strong expertise in system analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices
    • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT process design and proven database query writing and optimization skills for consolidated data
    • Proven experience in modeling and documenting complex data flows, system integrations, and component interactions across enterprise environments
    • Proven experience with dashboarding and data visualization platforms for system and performance monitoring
    • Solid understanding of database management principles and data architecture
    • Advanced skills in preparing analytical reports, functional specifications, and comprehensive technical documentation
    • Good written and spoken English (preferably B2+)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage database storage, capacity planning, and growth forecasting

     

    Performance & Availability:

    • Monitor database performance and proactively identify bottlenecks
    • Tune SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations
    • Ensure high availability using clustering, replication, Always On, RAC, Data Guard, etc.
    • Implement and test disaster recovery and failover strategies

     

    Backup, Recovery & Security:

    • Design and maintain backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, native SQL Server tools)
    • Perform database restores and recovery testing
    • Implement database security, encryption, and access controls
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards

     

    Support & Operations

    • Provide 2nd/3rd line support for database-related incidents and problems
    • Work closely with application teams, developers, and infrastructure teams
    • Document database procedures, standards, and configurations

     

     

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Technical Skills
    • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database (12c/19c or later)
    • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022)
    • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL
    • Experience with backup/recovery tools (RMAN, SQL Server Maintenance Plans)
    • Performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity; proactively tune and optimize systems
    • Ensure database security, encryption, access control, and compliance with best practices
    • Collaborate with application and DevOps teams to support cloud-native architectures
    • Troubleshoot database and infrastructure issues in production environments
    • Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and cloud-native tools


    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Strong hands-on experience with cloud databases on AWS
    • Proficiency in one or more databases (Postgres, MariaDB, MongoDB, Clickhouse, etc.)
    • Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
    • Familiarity with IAM, VPC, security groups, and cloud security best practices
    • Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Performance Insights, or similar
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


    Nice to Have:

    • Experience with Terraform/Terragrunt
    • Experience with data migration tools like AWS DMS
