As part of a dynamic and fast-paced engineering team, you will work on high-impact projects at the intersection of backend systems, monetization, and platform scalability.

     

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of commercial experience in backend development.
    • Experience with Go & Python. Go Experience is a must
    • Experience with GraphQL, Thrift, gRPC
    • Experience with SQL.
    • Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load.
    • Experience with partitioning, sharding, and replication is a plus.
    • Experience with any of these: Kafka, Cassandra, Redis, PostgreSQL.
    • Experience developing customer-facing public applications is preferred.

       

    Responsibilities:

    • Work cross-functionally, collaborate and partner with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute product and business strategy.
    • Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
    • Participate with a team of thoughtful, fast-moving, and motivated engineers.

    We are looking for a contractor to support PostgreSQL 17 upgrades and backend migration

    What makes this mission interesting?

    • Implement robust migration process: Update the tools and the solutions to let Qlik migrate the PG databases to PG17 and also migrate the legacy environment to the Qlik targets (AWS RDS cross account migration). All databases are AWS RDS-managed.
    • All the tooling is primarily based on Kubernetes and managed with ArgoCD. RDS instances and some tooling (PG exporters...) are deployed with Terraform. You will use day to day industry standard tools
