As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Member of the Management Board to oversee ICT, DORA compliance, and cybersecurity, supporting the company's regulatory readiness, operational resilience, and long-term growth.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Member of the Management Board to join PIQK PI PL sp. z o.o. on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will be designated as the Management Board Member responsible for overseeing the company's ICT, DORA compliance, and cybersecurity functions.

This role requires a senior professional with proven management experience in financial or payment institutions, combined with hands-on experience overseeing IT, ICT, and cybersecurity functions within a regulated financial environment.

The position involves working closely with the company's management, internal teams, external advisers, and relevant regulatory authorities to ensure effective technology governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

As the company is currently establishing its operational and regulatory infrastructure in Poland, this is a unique opportunity to take an active role in building the ICT, DORA compliance, and cybersecurity frameworks from the ground up.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who can not only provide board-level oversight but also lead the establishment of the necessary governance structures, policies, procedures, risk management frameworks, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• ICT & Cybersecurity Oversight: Provide board-level oversight of the company's IT, ICT, information security, and cybersecurity functions.
• DORA Compliance: Oversee the company's implementation of and ongoing compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and related regulatory requirements.
• ICT Risk Management: Supervise the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of ICT and cybersecurity risks.
• Technology Governance: Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate IT governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Operational Resilience: Oversee business continuity, disaster recovery, ICT incident management, and operational resilience arrangements.
• Third-Party Risk Management: Oversee ICT outsourcing arrangements, technology service providers, and associated third-party risks.
• Regulatory Compliance: Provide oversight of compliance with applicable Polish and European regulatory requirements relating to ICT and cybersecurity.
• Board-Level Governance: Participate in Management Board decision-making and contribute to the company's strategic direction, risk management, and corporate governance.
• Regulatory Engagement: Cooperate with the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), external regulatory advisers, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with management, compliance, risk, and technology teams to ensure alignment between business objectives, operational capabilities, and regulatory expectations.
• Building ICT & Cybersecurity Infrastructure: Lead the establishment of the company's ICT governance, DORA compliance, and cybersecurity frameworks from the ground up, including the development of policies, procedures, risk management processes, and internal controls.

Requirements

• Financial Institution Management Experience: Proven experience in managerial positions within financial institutions, payment institutions, or other regulated financial services organizations.
• ICT & Cybersecurity Oversight – Essential: Proven, hands-on experience overseeing IT, ICT, and cybersecurity functions or departments within financial or payment institutions.
• DORA Compliance – Essential: Demonstrated practical experience with DORA compliance, ICT risk management, and cybersecurity governance within a regulated financial environment.
• Technology Risk Management: Strong understanding of information security, ICT governance, operational resilience, and technology-related risk management.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Polish and European regulatory requirements applicable to ICT, cybersecurity, and financial institutions.
• Corporate Governance: Understanding of Management Board responsibilities, corporate governance principles, and risk oversight within regulated financial institutions.
• Leadership Skills: Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Professional Suitability: Ability to meet applicable regulatory suitability and professional reputation requirements for a Management Board appointment.
• Languages: Fluent Polish and strong professional English, both written and spoken.
• Location: Candidates based in Poland are strongly preferred. Candidates residing in other EU Member States may also be considered.
• Build-from-Scratch Experience – Essential: Proven hands-on experience establishing or significantly developing ICT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance frameworks within financial or payment institutions, preferably during an early-stage setup, licensing, or operational expansion phase.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience serving as a Management Board Member or senior executive in a regulated financial or payment institution.
• Direct experience working with the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) or other European financial regulators.
• Experience overseeing ICT outsourcing arrangements, third-party technology risks, and cybersecurity governance.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent.
• Experience working in international fintech groups or financial institutions operating across multiple jurisdictions.
