2D / UI-UX Game Artist (Unity)
Hi! I’m Anna, ex-CEO and founder of EASYFEET (an e-commerce brand featured on this profile). Now I’m building my second venture, Djampa: a motion-tracking mobile platform with kids active games where players control the action with real body and hand movements in front of the phone camera.
We already have two games live on Google Play. Now we’re scaling, and we need a 2D artist who can own the game UI from the first sketch to the final screen in Unity.
Format
Part-time, about 3-5 hours a day, and available in chat during the working day is a must!
Remote
Involvement can grow as the project grows
What you’ll do
Design game UI/UX: menus, HUD, buttons, popups, shop, rewards, onboarding and tutorial screens
Create 2D assets: icons, badges, achievements, UI elements, simple illustrations
Keep the visual style consistent across all games and screens, and build and maintain a UI kit
Prepare assets for Unity: slicing, 9-slice, sprite atlases, correct export sizes, safe areas for different screens
Assemble or check UI in Unity (Canvas, prefabs, anchors, layout groups) together with our developer
Work with the game designer and the art lead, and take part in short weekly planning
Requirements
2+ years in mobile game UI/UX (casual, hyper-casual or kids’ games are a big plus)
A strong portfolio of game interfaces, not only web or apps
Good command of Figma and Photoshop
You know how UI works in Unity: Canvas, anchors, 9-slice, sprite atlases, resolutions and aspect ratios
A sense of composition, color and readability, and ideally an understanding of UX for kids (big touch targets, simple navigation, minimal text)
Proactive, communicative, comfortable giving and getting feedback
Nice to have
UI animation (Unity Animator, DOTween, Spine or After Effects)
Basic VFX for UI (particles, glow, reward effects)
AI tools for faster iteration (Midjourney, Krea, Stable Diffusion)
Experience with ASO visuals: store screenshots and icons
How to apply
Send your portfolio (links to game UI work are the most important) and your hourly rate. The best candidates will get a short paid test task.
