Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the strategic development, business performance, and continued expansion of an international fintech company with established operations across African markets.

The CEO will oversee the company's overall business strategy, financial performance, and regional operations, ensuring sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and strong market positioning.

The ideal candidate is a commercially driven leader with international management experience, a strong understanding of the fintech and payments industry, and a proven ability to manage businesses across multiple markets.
 

Location: Dubai, UAE (relocation preferred and/or with occasional business travel)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the company's overall business strategy, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
• Oversee business operations across multiple African markets, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and performance targets.
• Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and new business opportunities.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, cost optimization, and overall business performance.
• Oversee the strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, payment providers, and other key stakeholders.
• Supervise regional and country management teams, ensuring accountability, efficiency, and strong execution.
• Identify operational challenges, implement improvements, and strengthen internal processes.
• Ensure effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance across operating markets.
• Evaluate new products, business models, and opportunities for geographical expansion.
• Establish clear KPIs, monitor company performance, and report on strategic and financial results to shareholders.

Requirements:

• 7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in senior executive or leadership positions.
• Proven experience in fintech, digital payments, financial services, or related industries.
• Strong track record of managing and scaling businesses across international markets.
• Experience overseeing multiple business units, regional operations, or country teams.
• Solid understanding of financial management, P&L ownership, business development, and strategic planning.
• Knowledge of payment processing, payment gateways, merchant acquiring, mobile money, or related financial technologies.
• Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and profitability.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working in multicultural and international business environments.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to relocate to Dubai is preferred; alternatively, availability for regular business travel to Dubai is required.
