Finance and Payment Lead

We are currently looking for a Finance & Payment Lead who will own the accuracy of every figure in our books. With AI covering most of the routine work, we need someone who digs into the data, directs the tools, reviews every output, and personally fixes whatever doesn’t add up.
 

This role is for you if you have:

• A doer approach with a strong ownership: you treat an unexplained $1 as a personal problem until you find the answer.
• Rigour and fast learning: you’re obsessed with where every number comes from, and you keep learning on your own.
• AI fluency: you use AI tools daily to analyse data, reconcile files, write scripts and automate routine work.
• Hands-on team player: you work side by side with a small team, sharing knowledge and setting the pace by example.
• Flexibility beyond a classic 9-to-6: payments run 24/7, so you’re fine with occasional weekend work and being reachable for urgent issues.
• Advanced English; Ukrainian is a plus. 

What you will do:

• Daily reconciliation: match PSP settlements, bank and internal ledger across all processors, tracking every fee, reserve, chargeback, refund and FX spread.
• Recovering funds: find missing or withheld money and follow up with processors personally until everything is settled.
• Audit and close: review flows, controls and AI-produced reports line by line, and prepare external audits and the month-end and year-end close.
• Payments and treasury: make and approve outgoing payments, and manage the cash position across accounts and currencies.
• Smart monitoring: build your own dashboards and alerts with Claude so anomalies surface within hours.
• Working side by side: work hands-on with a small team.
