Senior Lawyer

Now we're looking for a Senior Lawyer to turn complex regulations into practical solutions that protect our users, our business, and our growth.

• 4+ years of experience at product/tech companies.
• A law degree from a Ukrainian or foreign university.
• At least upper-intermediate English.
• Experience advising companies across the business lifecycle, including commercial, corporate, compliance, and IP matters.

• Identify and assess legal risks in consumer protection, data privacy, and IP across our key markets: the USA, EU.
• Develop practical legal solutions that protect Applyft's interests and help our products grow.
• Partner with product, marketing, engineering, and finance teams to build compliance into our apps from the start, from subscription flows and in-app messaging to data collection and location features.
• Ensure our apps meet App Store and Google Play requirements and help resolve platform review issues.
• Build new and improve existing legal processes to manage risks proactively.
• Support the business in regulatory inquiries, platform disputes, and consumer claims.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into clear, actionable guidance for the team.
• Work directly with senior leadership in a small legal team, with real ownership from day one.

• Expertise in US and EU consumer protection laws: FTC Act, ROSCA, state auto-renewal laws, the Omnibus Directive, etc.
• Understanding of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other data protection frameworks, especially in relation to sensitive data.
• Experience with mobile app compliance, including subscription apps and App Store / Google Play policies.
• Practical knowledge of AI tools and their use cases in legal work.
