What you'll do:
1. Build and Own the AI Governance Framework
- Develop clear and practical rules for AI usage across the company.
- Define which AI tools and use cases are approved, require additional review, or are prohibited.
- Establish clear guidelines on what types of company data can and cannot be shared with AI services.
- Develop a risk assessment framework for new AI tools and use cases.
- Define clear ownership and responsibilities across AI, Security, Legal, IT, and business teams.
- Create a streamlined approval process for AI initiatives without unnecessary bureaucracy.
2. Enable AI Innovation — Don’t Block It
- Build governance processes that enable employees to safely explore and adopt AI rather than creating unnecessary barriers.
- Establish a self-service approach for low-risk AI initiatives.
- Define clear and practical risk assessment criteria.
- Introduce a fast-track approval process for standard and low-risk use cases.
- Maintain a catalogue of approved AI tools.
- Develop practical templates, guidelines, and playbooks for teams.
- Establish sandbox and pilot mechanisms for testing new AI solutions.
3. Drive AI Adoption Across the Company
- Collect, structure, and maintain a portfolio of AI use cases across teams.
- Help teams identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, quality, or decision-making.
- Identify and prioritize the most promising AI use cases.
- Support teams in running AI pilots and measuring their impact.
- Identify successful use cases and help scale them across the organization.
- Build a culture of responsible and effective AI adoption.
4. Manage Long-Term AI Risks
- Build processes to identify and manage AI-related risks throughout the lifecycle of AI solutions.
- Monitor risks related to data leakage and misuse of company information.
- Assess privacy, security, and compliance risks associated with AI adoption.
- Establish controls around the use of AI in critical or high-impact decision-making.
- Define approaches to managing AI hallucinations, inaccuracies, and other model-related risks.
- Assess and mitigate vendor and dependency risks associated with AI providers.
- Establish governance for the growing use of AI agents and automated processes.
- Monitor changes to AI vendors’ terms of service, capabilities, and risk profiles.
- Keep AI governance aligned with evolving regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Identify and manage potential reputational and operational risks related to AI.
5. Establish AI Lifecycle Management
- Design and implement an end-to-end AI lifecycle management process:
Idea → Risk Assessment → Pilot → Approval → Production → Monitoring → Review - Ensure the company has clear visibility into which AI solutions are being used, why they are being used, what data they process, and who is responsible for them.
- Establish regular review and reassessment mechanisms for AI tools and use cases.
- Ensure AI governance remains effective as tools, use cases, risks, and regulations evolve.
Your expertise:
- Proven experience building and driving AI adoption processes in fast-paced and constantly evolving environments.
- Ability to evaluate AI use cases from both business value and risk perspectives.
- Solid understanding of information security, privacy, and data governance principles.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Security, Legal, IT, and business teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical, security, legal, and regulatory requirements into clear and practical guidelines for employees.
- Strong systems thinking and the ability to design scalable processes that can evolve with the organization.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to independently research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, and use cases.
- Hands-on experience with AI agents, automation, and AI-powered workflows.
- Technical background with the ability to understand AI technologies, architectures, and their practical implications.
- Previous experience in fintech, financial services, or another highly regulated technology environment.
