We are looking for an experienced Senior Atlassian Administrator to own the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of our Jira Software and Confluence ecosystem, as well as support the administration of Pipedrive CRM platform.
As an Individual Contributor reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to design and implement reliable, scalable workflows that support the organization’s operational needs.
The role requires a strong combination of hands-on Atlassian expertise, business process understanding, and ownership of implementation quality. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into practical technical solutions, maintaining a reliable Atlassian environment, and ensuring that implemented configurations remain transparent, effective, and maintainable as the organization grows.

Requirements:
• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Atlassian products, including Jira Software and Confluence, in complex, multi-department environments.
• Jira Administration: Advanced knowledge of workflows, workflow schemes, custom fields, screens, permissions, issue security, and access management.
• Automation & Integrations: Advanced knowledge of native Jira Automation, Jira REST API, webhooks, JSON payloads, and integration troubleshooting.
• CRM Administration: Hands-on experience administering Pipedrive or similar CRM platforms, including pipeline configuration, custom fields, user permissions, workflow automation, integrations, and troubleshooting.
• JQL & Configuration: Strong JQL skills and practical experience configuring Jira boards, filters, and project-specific views.
• Business Process Understanding: Ability to collaborate with business process owners, translate their requirements into practical Jira solutions, and identify gaps, dependencies, and potential implementation risks.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Ownership & Accountability: Ability to independently manage configuration changes, validate results against requirements, maintain accurate documentation, and take responsibility for implementation quality.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, provide timely updates, and proactively communicate risks, blockers, and changes to agreed timelines.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to consistently deliver accurate, well-tested configurations while considering dependencies and potential impacts on existing workflows.
• Languages: Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure Audit & Architecture
• Conduct technical and functional audits of existing Jira Software and Confluence configurations.
• Identify configuration gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve system reliability and usability.
• Design and maintain standardized Jira project templates and configurations for technical and business teams.
• Collaborate with business process owners to design Jira solutions that support cross-functional operational workflows.
• Ensure that Jira architecture remains scalable, consistent, and maintainable across departments.

2. Administration & Configuration
• Manage Jira projects, workflows, workflow schemes, issue types, custom fields, field contexts, screens, permission schemes, and issue security schemes.
• Manage user access, groups, roles, licensing, and identity integrations.
• Design and implement complex cross-functional workflows with defined approval stages, ownership, dependencies, validation rules, and transition conditions.
• Configure project boards, filters, and JQL queries to support effective task management and operational visibility.
• Ensure that Jira configurations support accurate tracking of tasks, deadlines, dependencies, and workflow statuses.
• Evaluate, configure, and maintain Atlassian Marketplace applications.

3. Integrations & Automation
• Design, implement, and maintain advanced automation rules using native Jira Automation.
• Independently configure Jira REST API integrations, webhooks, and automation involving structured JSON payloads.
• Configure and maintain integrations with Slack, Git repositories, CI/CD platforms, and other relevant business and engineering tools.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure reliable integration between Atlassian products and external systems.
• Troubleshoot automation failures, integration issues, and complex configuration problems.
• Ensure that automation and integration changes are properly tested and do not disrupt existing business processes.

4. CRM Administration & Configuration
• Administer and maintain Pipedrive or similar CRM platforms, ensuring reliable system configuration and day-to-day operation.
• Configure and optimize CRM pipelines, custom fields, user roles, permissions, and workflow automations to support business requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into practical CRM configurations and improvements.
• Configure and maintain integrations between CRM, Jira, and other relevant business tools.
• Troubleshoot CRM configuration issues, maintain data integrity, and ensure that implemented changes are properly tested and documented.
• Provide timely support to CRM users, including troubleshooting, configuration changes, and guidance on system functionality.

5. Security & Compliance
• Manage role-based access, project permissions, and issue security schemes to protect sensitive business and operational information.
• Ensure appropriate access restrictions and traceability of configuration changes and operational decisions.
• Maintain audit logging and change documentation in accordance with internal security and compliance requirements.
• Configure and maintain SSO and identity provider integrations.
• Support operational continuity through appropriate access management and backup integration procedures.

6. Support, Documentation & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for Atlassian-related requests, configuration changes, and troubleshooting.
• Provide timely responses to stakeholder requests in accordance with agreed service levels, communicate expected timelines, and proactively follow up on outstanding issues.
• Prioritize requests based on business impact, operational urgency, and agreed priorities.
• Maintain accurate task statuses, scope, and due dates, proactively communicating changes, blockers, and delivery risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business requirements, identify potential gaps, and agree on implementation approaches before starting work.
• Independently validate implemented changes against agreed requirements before handing them over for testing or deployment.
• Investigate recurring defects, identify root causes, and implement improvements to prevent similar issues.
• Document actual implementations in the relevant Jira tickets, including changes to initial requirements, additional stakeholder agreements, and configuration decisions.
• Develop and maintain Confluence documentation, technical runbooks, and internal knowledge bases.
• Provide user training and guidance on effective use of Atlassian tools.
• Provide regular, structured progress updates to the Delivery Manager on ongoing activities, completed work, risks, and improvement opportunities.


Nice to have
• Experience integrating CRM platforms with Jira, Slack, or other business systems using native integrations, REST APIs, or webhooks.
• Experience working in fast-paced FinTech, Payments, SaaS, or other high-velocity operational environments.
• Experience configuring complex, multi-department approval workflows.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD and integrations with developer toolchains.
• Experience with SAML SSO, Atlassian Guard, and identity provider integrations.
• Familiarity with Jira Assets, Advanced Roadmaps / Plans, Structure, or ScriptRunner.
• Experience with Jira data migration, project consolidation, or standardization of legacy configurations.
• Experience working in environments with elevated security, compliance, or auditability requirements.
• Atlassian certifications, such as Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP).
