AI Quality Lead for AI-First Insurance Product (German C1+)

Summary
We are an AI-first insurance venture by the Alteos team, fully AXA-backed. Our B2C insurance flow (quote, advice, purchase) is fully AI-driven and going live now. A second track automates internal insurance operations with AI. We run like a startup: decisions are made in-house, no corporate loops.

The role
QA for AI products is a discipline that barely exists yet. We run up to thousands of automated tests per day plus continuous manual testing by a pool of freelance testers. You own the why: what we test, why, to what depth, and how the testing operation is organized. Business and user-value thinking matters more than deep technical knowledge.

What you will do
- Own the AI testing strategy: what gets tested, why, and to what depth
- Organize test sets across many parallel variations (often 50 at once)
- Review and mark AI outputs, and define how manual testers evaluate them
- Brief and distribute work to the freelance tester pool

What we expect
- German at C1 level or higher (hard requirement)
- AI-native: you work with tools like Claude Code every day and understand how LLM products behave and fail
- Startup experience
- Experience organizing people and distributing work
- Strong self-organization across parallel tracks and constant change
- You own every conclusion you present, AI-assisted or not, and can explain it in a few sentences
- Semi-technical is enough; technical depth is a plus

Engagement
Long-term and remote, in or close to CET working hours. Full-time preferred; part-time possible with a reduced scope.
