Senior Salesforce Functional Consultant

We are looking for a strong Salesforce Functional Consultant to join a team supporting the Salesforce ecosystem of a US company in mortgage and consumer lending.

This is not a classic BA role. You will investigate production issues yourself, work hands-on with Salesforce configuration, and shape requirements to the point where development can pick them up.

Setup

• Full-time, long-term outstaff engagement
• Working hours 9:00-17:00 Pacific Time (PT)
• Direct communication with US stakeholders
• Team: Tech Lead, developers, QA

What you will do

• Analyse Salesforce requests and production issues, run initial troubleshooting before escalating to the development team
• Determine whether an issue sits at configuration, data, integration or custom development level
• Work hands-on with Salesforce configuration and independently handle configuration-level issues
• Work with Flows, objects and fields, validation rules, permissions, queues, assignment and routing rules, reports and dashboards
• Communicate directly with stakeholders, clarify incoming requests and set realistic expectations before involving engineering
• Refine business requirements with stakeholders and turn them into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Run backlog refinement in Jira
• Support functional validation and UAT, working together with QA: test scenarios, regression, edge cases, routing logic, post-release production validation

Must have

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience
• Strong configuration background: Flows, objects, fields, validation rules, profiles and permission sets, queues, assignment logic, reports and dashboards
• Production troubleshooting experience
• Requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria
• Jira, solid understanding of SDLC
• Confident English for daily work with US stakeholders

Strong plus

• Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
• Mortgage, lending, fintech or banking domain
• Loan officer workflows, borrower and application lifecycle, declines, routing and escalation processes
• Salesforce integrations, API and data flow understanding, MuleSoft familiarity
• QA / UAT and production support experience
