Head of Recruitment
Moodro is a Ukrainian defense tech company developing autonomous intelligent systems to counter unmanned aerial threats. Our technology helps protect military personnel and strengthens Ukraine’s technological advantage on the battlefield.
As the company continues to grow, we are looking for a Head of Recruitment to lead and further build a scalable, data-driven recruitment function that can support our growth in Ukraine and internationally.
This role is not only about delivering hires. It is about creating the system, standards and operating model behind consistently strong hiring decisions.
What you’ll focus on
- Recruitment Strategy & System Building: define the recruitment strategy and build a clear, scalable recruitment operating model — including processes, ownership, standards, prioritisation and quality controls across the hiring lifecycle.
- Business Partnership & Hiring Planning: partner with business leaders and Hiring Managers to translate business needs into hiring priorities, realistic plans and clear candidate profiles.
- Team Leadership: lead and develop the recruitment team, set clear expectations and priorities, strengthen ownership and build consistent ways of working across the function.
- Critical & International Hiring: strengthen sourcing approaches for complex technical, leadership and hard-to-fill roles, develop international talent pipelines and stay hands-on with business-critical hires when needed.
- Data, Tools & Continuous Improvement: establish meaningful recruitment metrics, use funnel data to identify bottlenecks and improve performance, and continuously develop recruitment tools, automation and practical use of AI.
What is important to us
- 5+ years of experience in Recruitment / Talent Acquisition, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience building and scaling recruitment as a function in a growing organisation.
- Strong track record of partnering with senior leaders and Hiring Managers, translating business needs into clear hiring priorities.
- Experience leading and developing recruitment teams, with the ability to balance strategic ownership and hands-on involvement when needed.
- Strong systemic and analytical thinking, with a data-driven approach to recruitment effectiveness, process improvement and decision-making.
- Experience working with modern recruitment technology, automation and AI tools.
- Fluent English and confidence working in an international environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in Defense Tech, MilTech, DeepTech, Hardware, Engineering or other high-high-growth technology environments.
