DevOps Engineer / System Administrator

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who can take ownership of infrastructure reliability, monitoring, proxy infrastructure, and Kafka.

The key focus of this role is to build and maintain a reliable message delivery architecture so that leads and data are not lost even when the CRM is slow, temporarily unavailable, or does not respond.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Apache Kafka.
• Design a reliable data delivery flow between internal systems and CRM using Kafka.
• Ensure leads/messages are not lost when CRM services are unavailable or respond with errors.
• Monitor message processing, delivery failures, delays, and infrastructure health.
• Set up alerts for critical infrastructure and delivery issues.
• Measure server response times and identify performance degradation.
• Configure and maintain monitoring for servers and services.
• Manage and rotate proxy servers.
• Analyze traffic patterns and identify suspicious/bot traffic.
• Create and maintain filtering rules against bots and unwanted traffic.
• Configure and maintain Linux servers and web infrastructure.
• Work with Nginx/reverse proxy, DNS, SSL/TLS, networking, and server configuration.
• Set up and maintain weekly backups and make sure recovery is possible.
• Investigate incidents and infrastructure issues independently.
• Improve the infrastructure so that routine monitoring and incident detection do not depend on constant owner involvement.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration.
• Practical production experience with Apache Kafka: setup, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and message delivery.
• Understanding of message queues, retries, failure handling, and reliable data delivery.
• Experience designing systems that continue processing data when an external service is temporarily unavailable.
• Strong knowledge of Nginx / reverse proxy.
• Experience with networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, firewall rules, and proxy infrastructure.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting.
• Ability to analyze logs and investigate production incidents.
• Bash or another scripting language for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with backups and recovery.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of infrastructure reliability.
• Fluent Russian is required.
