About us

UAPP.AI is a product company. We build AI-powered mobile applications used by over 10 million people. The full product cycle stays in-house โ€” from the idea to scale and monetization. Decisions are fast and data-driven, without bureaucracy.

The Role

We run a subscription product across mobile and web. Payments go direct, through our own provider stack โ€” Stripe, Unlimit, Payable, Traspay, SolidGate, Checkout.com, ADN, Apple.

We are looking for a Senior Payments Manager to own the day-to-day of the payments direction: onboarding new providers and products, domain compliance, fees, reconciliation and approval rate on rebills.

This is a role for someone who already does all of this hands-on but has not yet held a Head title. You work directly with the CEO, own your area end to end, and grow into Head of Payments as the direction scales.

What you will do

  • Provider onboarding: new PSPs, plus new products with providers we already work with โ€” applications via agents, merchant ID registration, entities
  • Domain compliance: preparing the websites we submit for onboarding to meet provider requirements โ€” knowing what has to be stated, how and where (terms, refund and subscription cancellation policy, pricing, product description, contacts, support) and keeping it current after underwriting
  • Recurring and rebills: retry logic, soft/hard declines, payment-method update flows, reducing involuntary churn
  • Approval rate: audit by GEO, provider and card scheme, routing and cascading priorities
  • Commercial terms: helping negotiate fees and rolling reserves, auditing commissions to see where the money leaks
  • Reconciliation and reporting: settlement reconciliation, payment reporting, cost transparency per product and provider
  • Analytics: your own dashboards on payment metrics, built with AI tools

What we expect

  • 3+ years in payments on the merchant side
  • Hands-on experience with several PSPs: Stripe, SolidGate, Checkout.com, Unlimit and similar
  • Merchant onboarding: applications, merchant IDs, underwriting
  • Understanding of provider compliance requirements for websites: what has to be stated and where
  • Recurring payments: rebills, decline handling, churn caused by failed payments
  • Approval-rate and fee optimization โ€” with numbers behind it
  • Ownership mindset: you are comfortable making decisions in your area and being accountable for the result
  • Willingness to work hands-on and use AI tools daily
  • English B2+

Nice to have

  • Mobile subscriptions, IAP, web-to-app funnels
  • Taking part in commercial negotiations with providers
  • Any experience mentoring or coordinating others โ€” formal management experience is not required

What we offer

  • Fully remote, full-time
  • A clear path to Head of Payments โ€” the direction is growing and we promote from within
  • A working stack and a team already running the direction โ€” you join a live process
  • Fast decisions without long approval chains
  • A product with 10M+ users and a growing subscription business โ€” the result of your work shows on the revenue chart
  • Competitive USD-pegged compensation, reviewed on results

Hiring process

  • Intro call with the recruiter
  • Call with the CEO
