Compliance manager - SKELAR Platform

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel focused on product and marketing compliance, data protection, IP, and regulatory compliance in the USA, EU, and UK.

As the SKELAR Legal Risks & Compliance team, we build the foundation that enables our businesses to scale quickly and with minimal risk. We handle compliance in numerous jurisdictions, resolve complex cases, and provide top-level legal partnership.

Your impact

In this role, you will:

• Identify potential risks in consumer protection, data privacy, and IP in tier-1 jurisdictions: the USA, EU, and UK.
• Develop practical legal solutions to protect SKELAR interests and support business objectives.
• Partner with business teams — marketing, product, engineering, finance — to implement comprehensive compliance programs and facilitate informed decision-making.
• Build new and enhance existing legal processes to proactively manage risks.
• Provide support for businesses in regulatory investigations and dispute resolution processes.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance, training, and compliance initiatives for the business.
• Working directly with senior leadership, you’ll have real ownership from day one.

About you

• 4+ years of experience in local or international top-tier law firms / Big 4 / product or tech companies.
• A degree in law from a Ukrainian or foreign university.
• Fluent English.
• Initiative and willingness to work on a wide variety of legal matters.
• Practical, business-oriented approach and ability to balance legal risk against commercial objectives.
• The ability to think creatively to solve complex legal issues.
• Result-oriented, well-organized, self-starter.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex legal issues in a clear, concise, and pragmatic manner.

Will be a plus

• Expertise in consumer protection laws in the USA and EU: FTC Act, ROSCA, OMNIBUS Directive, etc.
• Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection frameworks.
• Expertise advising companies through the life cycle of business operations, including on commercial, compliance, and intellectual property matters
• AI tools practical knowledge and usecases
