About the Project

We’re building an AI-powered video platform that aggregates and processes content from multiple social media sources. Users interact with video data through contextual search, LLM-powered features, and AI agent workflows.

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a Python focus who will work on backend services, AI integrations, agent-based workflows, and AWS infrastructure.

Python is the primary language for this role.
Experience with Node.js / TypeScript is a strong advantage and an important part of the existing backend stack. Familiarity with React is a plus.

Your Role

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll take ownership of backend services, APIs, integrations, AI-powered features, and agent workflows.

Most of the new backend and AI-related development is done in Python, while the product also includes existing Node.js / TypeScript services that you may contribute to.

You’ll work closely with frontend, product, CTO and participate in architecture and technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
• Build AI- and agent-powered backend functionality
• Develop APIs and integrations with external services and AI providers
• Build and maintain serverless services on AWS Lambda
• Work with AWS services including Cognito, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Step Functions
• Design asynchronous and event-driven workflows
• Integrate LLMs and AI services into production systems
• Work with structured data and validation using Pydantic
• Contribute to existing Node.js / TypeScript backend services
• Troubleshoot backend performance, integrations, and production issues

• Participate in architecture and technical design decisions

   

Strong Plus

• Commercial experience with Node.js / TypeScript
• Ability to confidently work with an existing Node.js backend codebase
• Experience with Express

• Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools

AI / LLM
