ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client is a fast-growing, privately owned distributor of stone, quartz, acrylic and other surface materials for the furniture, interiors, kitchen and construction industries. The company operates exclusively B2B โ€” partnering directly with retailers, architects, designers and manufacturers, with no intermediary distributors โ€” and is active in roughly ten markets across Europe. Its portfolio combines globally recognized brands with its own product lines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own full-cycle recruitment across all levels โ€” from production, warehouse and operational roles to senior and executive management.
  • Manage and develop a team of 4 local HR/recruitment specialists, setting goals and keeping standards consistent across locations.
  • Build and continuously improve onboarding, ensuring every new hire integrates successfully through their probation period.
  • Own end-to-end people processes: recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee development.
  • Report directly to the business owner, translating business priorities into HR action across all markets of presence.
  • Manage HR risk, including conflict resolution and employment matters, in line with local labor regulations in each market.
  • Build a strong, cohesive culture and internal communication across a multicultural, multi- country team.
  • Design competency frameworks and interview structures appropriate for roles ranging from blue-collar to C-level.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • 3โ€“5+ years of HR/recruitment experience as a generalist who has hired across multiple

seniority levels โ€” from operational/production roles to management.

  • Experience managing or mentoring a recruitment/HR team is a strong advantage.
  • A track record of building processes from scratch โ€” onboarding, structure, systems โ€” not just operating an existing one.
  • Comfortable owning high hiring volume (multiple closed positions per month) without losing attention to candidate quality.
  • Strong ownership and proactivity โ€” able to make decisions and drive outcomes without close supervision.
  • A confident communicator able to report directly to a business owner and work across cultures and time zones.
  • Higher education.
  • Fluent English and Ukrainian or Russian, matching the candidate pools and markets this role hires for.
  • Polish is a strong plus (if not currently at this level โ€” or just starting out โ€” the company will support the successful candidate in reaching an intermediate level within the first year).
  • Based near Warsaw or ready to relocate (relocation is provided by company) and comfortable with a hybrid setup.

WHAT THE COMPANY OFFERS:

  • Full ownership of the HR function for a fast-growing, international group of companies.
  • A direct reporting line to the business owner and real influence on hiring and people strategy.
  • The opportunity to build HR infrastructure from the ground up, not maintain an existing system.
  • A team of four to lead and develop.
  • Competitive compensation in a hybrid format near Warsaw.
  • A structured, transparent interview process: an initial conversation, a cognitive-skills assessment, and a final interview with the business owner.
  • Career growth within a rapidly expanding, internationally active company.
