System Support Engineer
We are looking for a System Support Engineer to join our client’s team and provide technical support and administration of their server infrastructure.
The role is focused primarily on Windows/Linux environments and the services built around them, with Active Directory, GPO, and RDP being key areas of expertise.
This is a hands-on technical role with a strong focus on troubleshooting, infrastructure support, and collaboration with internal and cross-functional teams.
What you will do
• Provide day-to-day support and administration of Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GPO).
• Support RDP / Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments.
• Monitor server health and availability and respond to infrastructure alerts.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and identify root causes.
• Support server-based applications from an infrastructure perspective.
• Manage and troubleshoot backup and restore processes.
• Perform server patching, maintenance, and system hardening.
• Provision and maintain virtual machines.
• Support gateway servers, RDS clusters, and related infrastructure.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell and/or Ansible.
• Collaborate with internal and cross-functional technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate existing support processes.
What we are looking for
• 5+ years of experience in System Administration, Infrastructure Support, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux (Red Hat and/or Ubuntu).
• Solid experience with Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO).
• Practical experience supporting RDP / RDS environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Ansible.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (L2/L3).
• Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware, is a plus.
• Basic experience with Azure / Microsoft 365 is a plus.
• Experience with MFA/SSO solutions such as Okta, Duo, or Microsoft Authenticator is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a technical team.

Work schedule
• Working hours aligned with US business hours — approximately 2:00 AM–11:00 AM in the candidate’s local time zone
• 1 week of on-call rotation per month
• Monthly after-hours maintenance / patching window
Important: The primary focus of this role is Windows/Linux, Active Directory, GPO, RDP/RDS, and infrastructure troubleshooting. Networking and virtualization are secondary skills, while Azure/M365 and MFA/SSO experience are considered additional advantages.
