Full-Stack Engineer (React / NestJS) HealthTech

Dokport is a Finnish digital health company building a next level telemedicine service for individuals and an occupational health platform for companies in Finland and other EU countries.

Our product and engineering team works across multiple projects, with 1–3 people assigned to each project. You should be comfortable collaborating with others and taking responsibility for a project independently. Sometimes, you will be the main engineer on a project: understanding user needs, making technical and product decisions, and taking it from idea to production.

We don’t expect you to know everything in advance. We value ownership, quick learning and the ability to get things working in production.

• Infrastructure: Google Cloud, Docker, Terraform / OpenTofu, GitHub
• Claude Code (mostly), ChatGPT, Gemini

What you’ll do

• Build and ship features across frontend and backend
• Take ownership of projects from idea to production
• Understand user needs and help decide how features should work
• Make technical and product decisions independently when needed
• Design APIs and backend services
• Work with PostgreSQL schemas, queries and migrations
• Build and maintain real-time features such as chat
• Integrate third-party services for payments, e-signatures, invoicing and email
• Debug production issues and improve existing systems
• Review code and contribute to technical decisions
   

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of production experience with TypeScript, React and Node.js
• 1+ year working with PostgreSQL or another SQL database
• 6+ months of hands-on experience with Redis, WebSockets (Socket.IO) and a cloud platform — we use Google Cloud
• Experience shipping and maintaining web applications used by real users
• Ability to work independently and take a feature from idea to production
• You actively use AI-assisted development tools in your daily work
• English at B2 level or higher for daily written communication
   

Nice to have

• NestJS or Next.js
• Docker
• Terraform / OpenTofu
• Automated testing with Vitest, Jest or Playwright

Healthcare experience is not required.
