Team Lead Payroll

Our partner is an international iGaming company specializing in identifying and fostering the growth of high-potential entertainment markets. With 1,000+ professionals across 20+ locations, the company operates in 10 countries and serves over 300,000 customers. Its expertise spans iGaming operations (sports betting, online casino), digital and affiliate marketing, tech solutions, and data analytics.

We’re looking for an International Payroll & Lead — a hands-on specialist who will own the full payroll and compliance cycle across three jurisdictions: Ukraine, Cyprus, and Poland.
 

Main Responsibilities

– Organize and strictly control the full cycle of payroll, bonuses, and related payouts across Ukrainian (sole proprietor/FOP), Cypriot, and Polish jurisdictions, with Ukraine accounting for the majority of volume
– Ensure accurate reflection of expenses in management accounting, prepare consolidated data for management reporting, and actively participate in the budgeting process
– Research and analyze taxation specifics across jurisdictions, ensure document accuracy, and guarantee full compliance with local and international legislation
– Contribute to process automation initiatives (including AI-driven process improvements), write technical specifications for developers to enhance accounting and finance systems
– Coordinate daily operations with the accounting team lead, provide financial guidance to colleagues, and maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors/contractors
– Take direct hands-on ownership of calculations and reporting, with increased operational involvement typically expected toward the end of each quarter
 

Mandatory Requirements

Must-have:

• Practical experience working across all three jurisdictions simultaneously: Ukraine, Cyprus, and Poland — this is essential, not optional
• Strong knowledge of Ukrainian tax legislation (sole proprietors/FOP, Labor Code) and solid understanding of EU tax systems, specifically Cyprus and Poland
• Hands-on experience with 1C accounting software (prior experience required, even if not currently in active use)
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets (complex formulas, pivot tables, large datasets)
• English level B2 or higher
• Ukrainian citizenship/residency

Nice-to-have:

– 7+ years of professional experience in management accounting or finance
– Proven background in managerial, team lead, or strong individual expert roles
– Experience in iGaming (preferred), banking, gamedev, or IT companies with a similar finance model
– Prior involvement in process automation or AI-driven finance transformation projects
– Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
