Business Development Manager — Commercial Products

$$$$

About the Role

Deep Knowledge Group (www.dkv.global) is seeking a hands-on Business Development Manager to commercialize its growing portfolio of technology, analytics, intelligence and platform products.

This is a product-revenue role.

Where the Head of Business Development owns the overall commercial architecture, this position is focused on converting specific products into customers, pilots, subscriptions, licensing agreements, distribution relationships and recurring revenue.

DKG's portfolio includes commercial intelligence and analytics platforms, thematic investment dashboards, regional ecosystem platforms, white-label intelligence solutions, institutional analytics, commercial partnership packages and selected products from the wider Longevity.Group ecosystem.

Several of these products are already technically developed or substantially prepared but require stronger market validation, pricing, packaging, customer acquisition and commercial execution.

What You Will Own

You will be assigned a defined portfolio of priority commercial products and expected to understand each one sufficiently well to sell it intelligently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • defining the most likely customer segments and decision-makers for each assigned product;
  • creating target-account lists based on actual commercial logic rather than generic lead generation;
  • approaching and qualifying potential customers;
  • explaining complex products clearly and credibly;
  • identifying the appropriate commercial model—subscription, enterprise access, licensing, white-label, bespoke analytics, sponsorship or another structure;
  • developing proposals and negotiating toward paid engagement;
  • maintaining a disciplined product-by-product pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop commercial pipelines for assigned DKG products.
  • Research and prioritize companies, institutions, governments, investors and other relevant customers.
  • Conduct targeted outbound prospecting and direct relationship development.
  • Qualify leads based on genuine need, purchasing capability and product fit.
  • Run discovery discussions to determine customer objectives and translate them into appropriate DKG solutions.
  • Prepare concise commercial proposals, presentations, one-pagers and follow-up materials.
  • Manage opportunities from first contact to paid pilot, subscription, contract or other agreed commercial outcome.
  • Work with Product Development to translate customer feedback into product changes, features or packaging.
  • Work with MarTech to identify which campaigns and audiences are producing qualified demand.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, opportunity stages, next actions, expected values and probability of closure.
  • Test pricing and packaging assumptions in real customer conversations.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling between DKG products.
  • Produce concise weekly reporting focused on pipeline movement, blockers, customer feedback and revenue potential.

Product Context

Assignments may include products such as:

  • regional and thematic market-intelligence platforms;
  • HealthTech and Longevity investment analytics;
  • advanced analytical dashboards;
  • ecosystem platforms;
  • white-label intelligence systems;
  • commercial indices and benchmarking products;
  • institutional analytics and bespoke intelligence;
  • sponsorship and strategic commercial packages;
  • selected DKG technology or Longevity.Group products where appropriate.

The portfolio will change as projects mature. The ability to learn a new product quickly is therefore more important than having sold one exact product category before.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in B2B business development, enterprise sales or commercial product development.
  • Demonstrable history of acquiring customers and generating revenue.
  • Experience selling software, SaaS, data, analytics, research, intelligence, consulting or another complex B2B product.
  • Ability to learn sophisticated products quickly and explain them in simple commercial terms.
  • Strong outbound prospecting and relationship-building ability.
  • Experience managing a complete sales cycle.
  • Strong proposal-writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining disciplined pipeline data.
  • Strong negotiation and follow-up capability.
  • Good analytical skills and comfort working with market and company data.
  • Practical AI literacy and ability to use modern AI tools to accelerate research, targeting and commercial preparation.
  • Excellent English.

Strong Advantages

  • Experience selling market intelligence, investment intelligence, enterprise data or analytics.
  • Experience with FinTech, AI, DeepTech, HealthTech or investment-related customers.
  • Experience selling subscriptions, licensing, white-label solutions or custom enterprise products.
  • Experience with GCC/UAE, European or Asian markets.
  • Existing network among institutional customers, investors, corporations or innovation organizations.

What We Will Evaluate

We will place much more weight on evidence of actual commercial execution than on sales terminology.

Strong candidates should be able to explain:

  • what they personally sold;
  • who bought it and why;
  • how they created or entered the opportunity;
  • how long the sales cycle took;
  • what objections occurred;
  • what they personally did to close it;
  • and what revenue or commercial value resulted.
