PHP Team Lead

We’re looking for a skilled PHP Team Lead who's passionate about building reliable backend systems, enjoys working on high-load, scalable architectures, and is ready to lead a team of backend engineers while helping drive our product's performance and stability.

Our day-to-day backend stack includes: PHP, Symfony, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, REST APIs, PHPUnit.

Key tasks:

• Lead and develop the team, including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and professional growth.
• Manage task and resource allocation, prioritization, and day-to-day team operations.
• Track team performance, provide regular feedback, and ensure predictable delivery.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement, while proactively managing risks, blockers, and dependencies. 
• Develop new user-facing features.
• Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture decisions.
• Write functional tests.

Your background:

• 5+ years of active experience with PHP, with a strong understanding of the latest versions.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Symfony Framework (3+ years).
• 2+ years of experience in a Team Lead / management position.
• Experience with API-based systems (REST, RPC).
• Significant experience with high-load databases.
• Experience with SQS/RabbitMQ or similar technologies.
• Experience with Redis/Memcache or similar technologies.
• Experience writing unit and functional tests.
• Experience with Docker configuration.
