Senior PR Manager (Infrastructure and Hosting)

BlueVPS OÜ is looking for a Senior PR Manager with
Responsibilities:
- International Strategy: Develop and execute the company's international PR and communications strategy across Europe, the UK, the US, and APAC (Asia-Pacific).
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, analysts, influencers, and relevant media contacts in the web hosting, data center, telecom, and broader B2B technology sectors.
- Storytelling & Opportunities: Proactively identify PR opportunities and generate newsworthy stories based on company developments, infrastructure updates, network statistics, traffic analysis, and industry trends.
- APAC & Regional Localization: Identify and develop PR opportunities tailored to different regional markets, including key APAC markets such as China, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and other relevant hubs in the region.
- Earned Media Coverage: Secure high-quality earned media coverage, including expert comments, interviews, feature articles, industry analysis, and company mentions.
- Executive PR & Thought Leadership: Develop and manage thought leadership programs for the company's CEO, CTO leads, and subject-matter experts.
- Content Creation: Create and edit press releases, media pitches, expert commentary, corporate statements, contributed articles, talking points, and other PR materials.
- Technical Translation: Translate complex technical topics related to VPS/VDS, Bare Metal / Dedicated Servers, Colocation, Data Centers, Networking (BGP/IXPs), and Virtualization into clear, compelling stories for business and technology audiences.
- Data-Driven PR: Develop data-driven PR campaigns, industry reports, surveys, and research based on company expertise and anonymized network/traffic data (e.g., bandwidth volume trends, latency studies).
- Infrastructure & Product Announcements: Manage corporate communications around network capacity expansions, hardware upgrades, new PoPs/data center locations, partnerships, and key company milestones.
- Crisis & Incident Communications: Develop and coordinate crisis communication strategies for service outages, network incidents, power/hardware failures, abuse-related issues (DMCA/phishing), and other situations affecting brand reputation.
- Media & Competitor Monitoring: Monitor media coverage, competitor activity, industry trends, and brand sentiment across target markets to identify PR opportunities and potential reputational risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate PR activities closely with Marketing, SEO, Product, Sales, NOC, and technical engineering teams.
- Agency Management: Manage relationships with regional and international PR agencies, freelancers, and external communications partners when required.
- PR Analytics & KPIs: Define and track PR KPIs, including earned media coverage, quality and relevance of publications, Share of Voice (SoV), sentiment, referral traffic, and other relevant metrics. Prepare regular performance reports to optimize strategy.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Media Relations within B2B technology environments.
- Niche Domain Expertise: Proven experience in technology PR; previous hands-on experience in web hosting, bare-metal infrastructure, data centers, or telecom/ISP is highly preferred.
- International Track Record: Demonstrated experience independently developing and executing international PR strategies from planning through implementation and performance analysis.
- Media Footprint: Proven track record of securing earned media coverage in reputable technology, business, and industry publications across European, UK, US, and APAC markets.
- APAC Market Insight: Practical PR experience or an established network in one or more key APAC markets (China, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong) is a strong advantage.
- Established Network: Active relationships with relevant IT, infrastructure, telecom, and hardware journalists or editors across international markets.
- Technical Adaptability: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts. Familiarity with VPS, dedicated servers, colocation, networking, BGP routing, and server hardware is essential.
- Crisis & Reputation Management: Hands-on experience managing communications during technical emergencies, network incidents, or outages in high-availability environments.
- PR Tech Stack: Experience using media monitoring, journalist databases, and PR analytics tools such as Muck Rack, Cision, Meltwater, or similar platforms.
- Performance Metrics: Strong understanding of PR performance metrics, including Share of Voice, media quality, sentiment, reach, and earned media impact.
- Synergy with Marketing/SEO: Clear understanding of how PR interacts with SEO, content marketing, and digital marketing while maintaining a firm focus on earned media and brand credibility.
- Autonomy & Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, take ownership of PR initiatives, manage high-stress situations (during incidents), and collaborate effectively with C-suite and engineering teams.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills (C1/C2 level).
Bonus (Nice-to-Have):
- Familiarity with Business Shared Hosting, domain infrastructure, and web agency/SMB client profiles.
- Knowledge of an additional language relevant to target markets (particularly an APAC language).
