Business analyst (fintech)

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business analyst to join our team at Dataforest and lead a long-term, high-scale FinTech project.

About the Project:
Our client is building a powerful B2B SaaS platform designed to revolutionize chargeback management, featuring enterprise-grade API integrations (Ethoca, Verifi), seamless payment processor connections (Stripe, Shopify, Braintree), and real-time dispute alerts. We are actively developing and scaling multiple product streams, including Business Health, Dispute Management, and others.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:
 

• 5+ years of experience in system, functional, or business analysis;
• English: Advanced and higher;
• Deep expertise in key business analysis techniques, requirement management tools, and standardizing BA documentation;
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile development processes;
• Strong hands-on experience in business process modeling (BPMN, UML) and domain-driven design;
• Proven proficiency in driving Discovery phases, extracting high-level business vision, and translating it into actionable roadmaps and specs;
• Advanced skills in drafting business (BRD), functional (SRS), and technical requirement specifications;
• Extensive experience in working with key business stakeholders and C-level executives, leading requirement elicitation and facilitation sessions;
• Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills;
• Ability to independently decompose complex system workflows and domain logic into manageable tasks;
• Strong technical background with a clear understanding of web development concepts, enterprise system integrations, and API design;

• Practical experience using modern AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate requirement generation, documentation, and analysis workflows.

   

Would be a plus:
 

• Prior experience in FinTech, PayTech, Chargeback, or Payments domain;
• Experience working with projects that integrate AI/ML features or LLM API solutions;
• Hands-on experience with SQL and data modeling;

• Experience with integration-heavy B2B SaaS projects and payment gateway APIs (e.g., Stripe, Braintree).

   

What you’ll do:
 

• Serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and validate complex product requirements;
• Leading the end-to-end requirement lifecycle: from high-level discovery down to backlog grooming, user story mapping, and detailing acceptance criteria;
• Visualizing complex FinTech workflows, business processes, and data models for multi-stream engineering teams;
• Advising stakeholders on industry best practices, platform capabilities, and optimal product solutions;
• Performing market research and domain analysis to contribute to product strategy and features elaboration;
• Communicating project vision and closely aligning requirements with System Architects, Tech Leads, and engineering teams;
• Actively participating in presale estimations, discovery activities, and scope definition for new product streams;
• Drive & improve AI-driven BA practices: Leverage AI tools to speed up requirement drafting, analyze complex domain data, optimize BA artifacts, and enhance delivery processes.
