Senior Java Engineer

Softsich is an international product tech company that develops scalable digital B2B solutions.
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to develop and maintain the company’s existing services. The specialist will join the development team responsible for building and improving scalable backend solutions, integrations, and internal services. We expect a proactive mindset, a strong willingness to grow, and readiness to take ownership of results.

Requirements

• Commercial experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java Core and OOP principles.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with MongoDB or Amazon DocumentDB.
• Understanding of REST API design principles.
• Experience with Git.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and maintain existing services.
• Design and implement REST APIs.
• Integrate internal and external systems.
• Optimize performance and improve code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Analyze and fix defects.
• Collaborate closely with the development and QA teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing data schemas for MongoDB/DocumentDB.
• Experience optimizing queries and working with indexes in MongoDB or DocumentDB.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka or other message brokers.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and observability solutions.
