Our client is a cloud-based financial planning and analysis (FP&A) platform designed for SMBs, transforming manual monthly and quarterly reporting into automated, scalable processes.
Our solution connects to organizational systems such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, and complex Excel files, consolidating all data into a single cloud-based database. Our client automates critical financial transformations including FX conversions, eliminations, hierarchies, financial adjustments, and more while allowing end-users to continue working in Excel as they always have.
Serving primarily the US market, our client is experiencing strong and sustained growth. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a cutting-edge SaaS product at scale and shape how we deliver software in an AI-native way

We’re looking for an experienced engineer who is ready to move beyond traditional software development and take full ownership of product delivery. This is not a classic backend engineering role. As a Builder, you’ll be responsible for delivering
features from idea to production by orchestrating AI agents, making technical decisions, collaborating closely with Product, and owning the final outcome.

What makes this role different
🔹You may not write every line of code yourself, but you are accountable for all of it — the AI-generated code is your code, and its quality is your responsibility.
🔹AI agents become part of your engineering team, but you own every architectural and technical decision.
🔹You partner with Product on the what and own the how — the technical execution and delivery.
🔹Success is measured by shipping high-quality features, not by the amount of code you write.
🔹You’ll have end-to-end ownership across backend, frontend, QA, and automation while working closely with Product to bring ideas into production

Key Requirements:

🔹BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
🔹Senior-level engineer, typically 7+ years building and shipping production software end-to-end — with the depth of experience to make sound technical calls and recognize when AI-generated output is subtly wrong.
🔹Strong Python (including Django) and system design fundamentals, with proven expertise building scalable systems on cloud architecture in a SaaS environment and the judgment to make architectural decisions and evaluate trade-offs independently.
🔹 Solid understanding of async programming, REST APIs, microservices, and testing — enough to read, review, and validate implementations, not just write them yourself.
🔹Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar) and building AI-native workflows, with the ability to review, challenge, and improve AI-generated output rather than relying on it blindly.
🔹Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases — proven experience configuring, managing, and optimizing large-scale databases, working with high volumes of data, and ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments.
🔹 Strong product mindset — able to balance technical and business priorities, thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, and take full ownership of outcomes.
🔹 Exceptional communication skills and high proficiency in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher) — you’ll partner directly
with Product and own the technical execution.

Will be plus:

🔹Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools (Terraform, Helm) — enough to decide what the system needs and evaluate what an agent produces.
🔹Familiarity with Celery orchestration, event-driven architectures, or streaming frameworks (RabbitMQ).
🔹Exposure to modern frontend, QA automation, or full-stack environments.
🔹Experience working in product companies or startups.

What you will do:

🔹Own features end-to-end, from initial requirements to production and monitoring.
🔹Partner with Product to turn requirements into clear execution plans — Product owns the what, you own the how.
🔹Orchestrate AI agents across development, QA, and automation.
🔹Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code and solutions.
🔹Make architectural decisions, define data models, and optimize system performance.
🔹Ensure high quality throughout the entire delivery lifecycle.
🔹Own a feature area while contributing across other areas when needed.
🔹Collaborate directly with engineering and product teams to continuously improve delivery
