About the Role

We are looking for a Hands-on Tech Lead / Senior Tech Lead who combines strong engineering skills with technical leadership and people management.

You will stay deeply involved in coding while taking ownership of technical quality, architecture, engineering processes, and the growth of a small engineering team.

You will lead and support 2–3 engineers, review their work, provide regular feedback and coaching, and help the team grow independently while maintaining a high technical bar and a healthy, non-toxic team culture.

What You'll Do

• Write and ship production code as a hands-on technical leader.
• Review pull requests and maintain high engineering standards.
• Own and validate technical architecture and key engineering decisions.
• Improve engineering processes, development practices, and code quality.
• Coach and develop engineers, helping them become more independent.
• Provide regular, constructive feedback and support professional growth.
• Manage a team of 2–3 engineers and support their performance and development.
• Work closely with engineers to solve complex technical problems.

• Balance technical leadership with hands-on development.

   

What You'll Actually Build

• Core Platform Development: FastAPI/Python backend services processing millions of conversations daily.
• Real-time Analytics: Vue 3/TypeScript dashboards with WebSocket streaming and D3.js visualizations.
• AI Integration: Deploy and optimize LLM-powered features, including transcription, sentiment analysis, and summaries.
• Scalable Architecture: Docker/Kubernetes deployments, Celery task queues, and OpenSearch clusters.
• Integration Pipelines: Connect the platform with CRM and contact center systems such as Zendesk, Genesys, Vicidial, and others.

Your Tech Arsenal

Backend: Python 3.11+, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Celery, Redis, PostgreSQL

Frontend: Vue 3, TypeScript, Vuetify, Vite, Chart.js, WebSockets

AI/ML: OpenAI APIs, Librosa, speech processing pipelines

Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, OpenSearch, Traefik

Tools: Git, GitHub Actions, pre-commit hooks, pytest

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• 5+ years of production engineering experience - we care about what you have actually shipped.
• AI-native development: You use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex as part of your daily development workflow.
• Full-stack capable: Strong backend experience with Python and FastAPI, with the ability to work comfortably across Vue/TypeScript when needed.
• Strong technical ownership: We give you problems, not step-by-step tickets. You figure out the solution.
• Technical leadership: Experience with code reviews, architecture decisions, engineering standards, and mentoring other engineers.
• People management: Comfortable managing and developing a small engineering team.

• Strong communication: Able to give clear, constructive feedback and maintain a healthy team environment.
