Finance Operations Specialist

The Role

We're looking for a Part-Time Finance Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day financial operations of AlphaDevs.

This is a hands-on role focused on keeping financial processes organized, accurate, and reliable.

You will work with contractor payments, supplier invoices, cash-flow tracking, reconciliations, and financial documentation, while helping improve and automate processes where possible. 

What You'll Do

Contractor & Payment Operations

• Prepare and review contractor payments
• Check contractor invoices and payment details
  Reconcile payments against invoices and payment confirmations
• Identify discrepancies, missing documents, or duplicate payments
• Coordinate with contractors when additional information is required

• Support payments in multiple currencies, including EUR and USD

  
  Cash Flow & Reconciliation

• Monitor company cash balances across relevant accounts and platforms
• Maintain cash-flow tracking and basic forecasts
• Reconcile bank transactions and payment records
• Support monthly financial closing
• Check that financial data is consistent across payment and accounting systems

• Prepare simple financial reports for management

  
  Invoices & Accounting Support

• Collect and organize supplier and contractor invoices
• Check invoices for completeness and correct accounting periods
• Maintain organized financial documentation
• Track outstanding invoices and payments
• Prepare documentation for the external accountant

• Support the accounting team with monthly financial information

  
  Process Improvement & Compliance

• Help maintain clear and structured financial workflows
• Identify gaps, duplicates, and potential payment issues
• Improve repetitive financial processes where possible
• Support financial and tax compliance processes in coordination with the external accountant
• Help keep financial records organized and audit-ready
  
  What You Bring
• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, finance operations, or a similar role
• Experience with invoices, payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience working with international payments or multiple currencies
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Experience with Xero or a similar accounting platform is a strong advantage
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good English communication skills
  
  Nice to Have
• Experience with Airwallex or similar payment platforms
• Experience with contractor / freelancer payments
• Knowledge of Cyprus VAT and social insurance processes
• Experience with crypto payments or USDT
• Familiarity with financial automation tools
• Experience working with international or distributed teams

• Background in IT, outstaffing, consulting, or technology services
