Technical Project Manager (Hardware/Supply)

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (Hardware & Supply) to support the development and preparation for manufacturing of a hardware product.

What the role does: 

• The main purpose is to coordinate, structure and follow up the workstreams related to Mechanical Engineering, supplier sourcing, BOM preparation, technical documentation and EMS handover readiness.
• The person acts as an operational and documentation-focused interface between Engineering, Project Management, component suppliers, potential alternative suppliers and the selected EMS/Assembly partner. 

• The goal is to ensure that all relevant technical information, BOM data, drawings, PCB files, supplier offers, open points, revision states and handover documents are complete, structured, traceable and ready for the next industrialization steps.

   

Main tasks:

• Track open tasks, deadlines and dependencies of mechanical engineers.
• Run meeting follow-up: open point lists, action log, decision log, weekly status summary.
• Oversee the EMS handover data pack: BOMs, drawings, Gerber/PCB files, assembly notes.
• Clean up and maintain the eBOM/mBOM: missing data, MPNs, alternates, lead times, revision consistency, critical parts.
• Contact component suppliers and alternative suppliers. Request quotes, datasheets, lead times, MOQ, NCNR status, availability.
• Build supplier and quote comparison matrices (price, lead time, availability, technical fit, risk).
   

Requirements:

• Basic technical understanding of mechanical and electrical product development: assemblies, BOMs, drawings, datasheets
• Strong project management discipline: tracking tasks, dependencies, deadlines, constraints
• Strong Excel: trackers, comparison matrices, decision tables
• Direct supplier communication (quote requests, technical clarification, follow-up)
• High attention to detail on revisions, part numbers and file versions
• English level: minimum B2
• German level: minimum B2
