Wikidata / Wikipedia Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Wikidata / Wikipedia consultant with proven expertise in creating and editing company pages in compliance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

What we're looking for:

• Hands-on experience with Wikidata and Wikipedia editing, particularly for companies and organizations.
• Strong understanding of Wikipedia's notability requirements and sourcing policies.
• Knowledge of paid editing disclosure requirements and experience working within Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest guidelines.
• Ability to write in a neutral, encyclopedic tone without promotional language.
• Good understanding of Wikidata structure, including properties, items, statements, and entity relationships, to correctly build and maintain a company record.

The goal is to create a properly structured, policy-compliant, and sustainable Wikidata entry for our company based exclusively on existing independent and reliable sources. 

The specialist should:

• Review available third-party publications and assess whether they meet Wikipedia/Wikidata requirements.
• Create or update the company's Wikidata item using the appropriate properties and references.
• Ensure all information complies with Wikipedia and Wikidata policies.

• Advise on whether the company currently meets notability requirements and recommend any improvements if necessary.

   

Requirements

• Portfolio with relevant Wikidata/Wikipedia projects.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Wikipedia policies and editorial standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with structured data.

• Experience with corporate profiles is highly preferred.
