Senior ServiceNow Developer / Technical Consultant (ITSM and Platform)

Join a long-term enterprise transformation project for a leading Swiss organization focused on modernizing and optimizing its ServiceNow platform. The team is responsible for reducing a large legacy backlog, delivering complex platform enhancements, and implementing scalable ITSM solutions across multiple business units. You’ll work in an Agile (SAFe) environment, collaborating with architects, business analysts, and international stakeholders to improve platform stability, automation, and service quality.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance ServiceNow ITSM and Platform solutions
• Implement and customize Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Service Level Management (SLM) processes
• Develop scalable platform components using Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, UI Policies, ACLs, and UI Actions
• Build and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, and MID Server
• Analyze existing ServiceNow configurations, identify technical debt, and implement sustainable improvements
• Support CMDB/CSDM implementation and dependency mapping
• Deliver end-to-end technical solutions with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams during PI Planning, sprint ceremonies, and solution design
• Participate in platform upgrades, release activities, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Produce high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented solutions following ServiceNow best practices

   

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
• Strong expertise in ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, SLM)
• Solid experience with ServiceNow Platform development
• Strong JavaScript scripting skills within the ServiceNow platform
• Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, UI Policies, ACLs, and UI Actions
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server
• Good understanding of CMDB and CSDM concepts
• Ability to analyze existing solutions, identify technical debt, and improve platform architecture
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments

• English — Upper-Intermediate (B2+) or higher

   

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with ITOM or Event Management
• Knowledge of Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades and release management
• German language skills
• ServiceNow CSA certification (required)

• CIS-ITSM certification (CAD is a plus)
