Our client is a technology company specializing in smart building and energy management solutions. Their platform enables organizations to monitor, control, and optimize building operations, including HVAC, lighting, power, and other building systems, improving energy efficiency and operational performance.

Important: Australian time zone, working hours from 8:00 AM UA.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions;
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and other stakeholders to define and implement technical solutions;
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code, following coding standards and engineering best practices, unit tests
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality;
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks;
• Contribute to estimation, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies;
• Promote continuous improvement by introducing new tools, technologies, and engineering practices;

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

   

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Back-End development;
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript;
• Strong knowledge of Express.js and NestJS frameworks;
• Strong experience with MongoDB;
• Experience with Jest for unit and integration testing;
• Strong experience in REST API design and implementation;
• Experience working with streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka) and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ);

• Experience with Swagger for API documentation;

   

Nice to have:

• Strong experience with Docker and AWS Cloud services (ECS, Fargate, S3, S3 Glacier, Cloudfront, Route 53, WAF)
• Experience with ClickHouse and DynamoDB;
• Experience with MQTT;
• Understanding of system design, including scalable and distributed architectures;;
• Experience working with time-series data;
• Experience working with high-volume data;
• Experience in IoT projects;

• Front-end development experience is a strong plus.
