Manual QA
Manual QA Engineer (Remote, Europe)
Full-Time | Remote | USD $1,500 - $2,000
๐ About Gymflow
Gymflow is a founder-led, bootstrapped SaaS platform built for modern gym and fitness studio owners. We help automate everything from bookings and payments to member communication and access control. We're on a mission to make fitness businesses run smoother and grow faster.
We're a fully remote company with 12 high-performing team members spread all over Europe and North America. We're looking for someone to join our passion for building outstanding products and helping small business owners.
๐ผ The Role
We're looking for a Manual QA Engineer to be the last line of defence before our work reaches customers. In this role, you'll own the quality of everything we ship across our web app, mobile apps, and backend. That means testing new features, catching regressions, and making sure every release feels polished and reliable.
You'll work closely with our developers, product, and design teams to understand what's changing, verify it does what it's supposed to, and dig into the edge cases nobody thought of. You'll be joining 1 other full time QA team member on a small, focused team, so your judgement about what to test, and what matters most, will directly shape the experience of more than 200,000 users.
This is a hands-on manual testing role. You don't need to write production code, but you do need to think like someone determined to break things before our customers can.
๐ฏ What You'll Be Responsible For
- Manually testing new features and bug fixes across web and mobile (iOS and Android) before release
- Running regression passes to make sure new work doesn't break existing features
- Exploratory testing to surface edge cases, unexpected states, and confusing UX
- Reproducing, documenting, and clearly reporting bugs with steps, evidence, and severity
- Verifying fixes and closing the loop with developers on Linear
- Testing across different devices, browsers, and screen sizes
- Sanity-checking backend/API behaviour where relevant to a change
- Helping define and improve our QA process as the product and team grow
๐ง You're a Fit If You Have...
- 3+ years of professional experience in manual QA / software testing
- Experience testing both web and mobile applications
- A sharp eye for detail, so you notice the misaligned button and the off-by-one edge case
- Comfort prioritising your own workload and deciding what's most critical to test
A methodical, curious mindset and the patience to try the paths users actually take
๐ Nice-to-Haves
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Linear (or similar) for issue tracking and QA workflows
- Testing SaaS products, ideally B2B or in payments/bookings
- Basic API testing (e.g. Postman) and reading responses
- Familiarity with mobile testing on real devices and simulators/emulators
- Exposure to test automation (even if you don't write it day-to-day)
- Experience with white-labelled mobile applications
- An interest in the fitness industry or experience with gym/studio software
๐ Application Process
- If your application is successful, you'll be invited to a 10-minute screening call with our Head of Engineering
- You'll be asked to complete a short QA exercise for review in your own time.
- You'll be invited to a final interview with our Head of Engineering and Founder.
We respond fast. Expect an intro call, a short exercise, and a final interview, all within two weeks if it's a match.
