Requirements

— 4+ years of BD/partnerships experience in crypto, ideally on an L1/L2 ecosystem or a DeFi protocol
— Solid understanding of DeFi primitives (AMM, lending, perps, stablecoins, RWA) and the ability to read whether a protocol actually drives on-chain activity rather than just adding a logo
— Track record structuring grant, integration, and co-marketing deals end-to-end, from first contact to signed
— CRM discipline: clean pipeline hygiene, honest stage tracking, documented no-go reasons
— Existing relationships across DeFi protocols and infra providers (oracles, bridges, indexers, audit firms, market makers)
— Experience working an exchange-backed chain or exchange-to-chain distribution angle

Responsibilities

— Source protocols outbound (Tier 2-3 on other EVM chains that can realistically deploy) and qualify inbound grant applicants and DMs against the ICP
— Own the BD CRM: stages, owners, next steps, no-go reasons, conversion reporting
— Shepherd each deal from yes to live on mainnet, handing off technical integration and grant execution to DevRel and tracking milestone completion against grant tranches
— Keep deployed protocols active post-launch: hitting milestones, surfacing further liquidity or support needs
— Build and maintain a warm pool of value-add partners (security, infra, liquidity/MM, distribution, capital) and bundle their services into grant offers so deploying with Whitechain beats the alternatives
— Actively source new infra/service/distribution partnerships and B2B/integration partnerships against specific stack gaps (stablecoin issuer, RWA primitive, payment rail)
— Report weekly on the funnel: sourced, qualified, structured, launched, retained
