What You'll Do
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers.
- Configure, upgrade, and optimize server infrastructure.
- Monitor server performance, availability, and overall health.
- Administer and maintain Nginx and/or Apache web servers.
- Configure backup solutions and participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using Bash and other automation tools.
Moodle LMS Administration
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Moodle LMS.
- Manage plugins, themes, and integrations.
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot application issues.
AWS Infrastructure
Work with:
- Amazon EC2
- Amazon Aurora Serverless
- Amazon RDS Proxy
- Amazon CloudWatch
- IAM, Security Groups, and AWS Secrets Manager
Database Administration
- Administer and maintain MySQL databases.
Cloudflare Administration
Configure and maintain:
- DNS
- CDN
- SSL/TLS
- Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- DDoS Protection
- Zero Trust
WordPress Administration
- Install, maintain, secure, and optimize WordPress websites.
Linux Security
- Perform Linux server hardening.
- Configure and maintain SSH security.
- Configure and manage Fail2Ban.
- Manage firewall rules.
- Ensure timely security patching and system updates.
Documentation
- Create and maintain technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams, and operational documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Linux system administration experience.
- Experience administering enterprise Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience administering Moodle LMS.
- Experience working with AWS.
- Experience administering MySQL databases.
- Experience configuring and managing Cloudflare.
- Experience administering WordPress websites.
- Experience with Nginx and/or Apache.
- Experience managing SSL certificates and DNS.
- Strong knowledge of Linux security and server hardening.
- Experience writing Bash scripts.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- English level Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher (both written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Experience supporting high-availability or high-load production environments.
