Business Analyst / Scrum Master
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst & Scrum Master to join a client-facing FinTech product team focused on building secure and scalable mobile solutions. In this role, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, transforming complex financial and regulatory requirements into clear, development-ready specifications while facilitating Agile processes and ensuring smooth delivery.
You will lead Scrum ceremonies, manage backlog prioritization alongside Product Managers, and ensure alignment across mobile, backend, and QA teams. A strong understanding of digital payments, banking systems, compliance, security, and mobile app development is essential. About the Project
The team is dedicated to a Wallet mobile app (native iOS/Android), working mostly on compliance changes related to KYC and market regulation updates, new payment integrations, and general product improvements.
Team: 1 Backend developer, 1 Frontend developer, a UX designer, and a QA, supported by a strong Product team for onboarding and product development. You'll typically work on 1 project at a time.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management: gather, analyze, and document complex business, technical, and regulatory requirements for fintech and mobile products; conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops; translate requirements into structured user stories with detailed acceptance criteria; prepare functional specifications and process flows; ensure completeness, traceability, and compliance alignment; validate requirements before development starts; manage change requests and maintain audit-ready documentation.
FinTech & Regulatory Alignment: ensure requirements reflect digital payments, banking systems, compliance, data privacy, and security standards; incorporate KYC, AML, audit logs, and data protection into backlog and specs; collaborate with security/compliance stakeholders; flag regulatory risks early.
Backlog & Roadmap Management: own backlog structure and readiness; prioritize with Product Managers based on value, risk, and dependencies; ensure Definition of Ready is met; support roadmap planning and cross-team dependency transparency.
Mobile Product Lifecycle Support: account for platform differences, UX flows, performance, security, and app store policies; support release planning and collaborate with UX/UI on user journeys.
Agile/Scrum Facilitation: facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives; define clear sprint goals; monitor progress and resolve impediments; coach the team on Agile best practices; protect the team from scope creep.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Quality: bridge business, dev, QA, and UX/UI; ensure testable acceptance criteria; support QA validation and demo/stakeholder sessions; promote secure, scalable, customer-centric design; continuously refine delivery processes.
Required Skills
3+ years as a Business Analyst and Scrum Master with strong FinTech and mobile app development background;
proven ability to gather, analyze, and document complex business/technical/regulatory requirements;
skilled in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs;
extensive experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies;
strong backlog management and roadmap planning with Product Managers;
hands-on experience with digital payments, banking systems, compliance, security, and data privacy;
solid understanding of iOS/Android app development lifecycles;
strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
