Head of Operations
dNovo Group is a Toronto-based digital marketing agency specializing in SEO, Paid Media, Web Design, AI Search Optimization, Content Marketing, and Reputation Management. We're looking for a Head of Operations with proven experience leading operations within a digital marketing agency.
This is not a general corporate operations or traditional COO role. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing SEO, Paid Media, Web Development, and Account Management teams while overseeing client delivery, operational excellence, and agency growth.
What You'll Do
Lead Agency Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the agency.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and exceed client expectations.
- Support and mentor our Account Managers and Project Managers.
- Improve workflows, communication, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor team capacity, priorities, and overall performance.
- Oversee website launches and technical projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with client goals.
- Help build systems and processes that allow the agency to scale.
Build Strong Client Relationships
- Serve as a trusted advisor for key client accounts.
- Lead client meetings, strategy sessions, and business reviews.
- Resolve escalated client issues with professionalism and confidence.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships.
Drive Business Growth
- Conduct discovery calls with prospective clients.
- Understand client goals and recommend tailored digital marketing solutions.
- Develop strategic marketing plans and proposals.
- Help close new business opportunities.
- Support upselling and cross-selling within existing client accounts.
Partner with the CEO
- Work closely with the CEO to execute company goals and strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience working in a digital marketing agency.
- 2 + years leading Account Managers, Project Managers, or client delivery teams in an agency environment.
- Experience leading teams and managing client relationships.
- Strong sales and business development skills.
- Strong understanding of SEO, AI Search Optimization, Paid Media, website development, WordPress, website launches, and digital marketing strategy.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
