Technical Product Manager (AI Operations)

We need a detail-oriented Technical Product Manager with deep AI expertise to improve operations for one of our customers (Balloon Bay) by applying AI. This is a part-time engagement (up to 20 hours/month) with a clear path to full-time as scope grows.

What You'll Do

• Audit existing operational workflows and identify high-leverage AI automation opportunities
• Design and specify AI-powered process improvements (prompts, agents, pipelines)
• Write precise requirements — JTBD, user stories, acceptance criteria — that translate directly into implementation
• Partner with engineering on AI SDLC: requirements → agentic implementation → verification
• Measure impact — define success metrics before build, track after
• Iterate rapidly — small, shippable improvements over big-bang rewrites

You're a Fit If

• Deep, hands-on AI expertise — you use Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent daily to build real things
• Obsessively detail-oriented — you catch edge cases others miss, your specs are complete
• Product management background (5+ years) with technical depth
• You can take a vague operational problem and decompose it into a structured automation plan
• Self-directed — with 20 hrs/month, every hour must count; no hand-holding
• English fluent (C1+)
• Available for async collaboration with occasional sync calls (US Pacific timezone overlap)
