Strong Middle Manual QA Engineer

📋 Role Overview

We’re looking for a Strong Middle QA Engineer to join our team and support one of our US-based clients.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality of a mobile application (iOS & Android) and its supporting web platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality releases.

This role starts as a full-time, project-based engagement expected to last approximately 2–3 months, with the possibility of extending the collaboration based on future project needs and mutual fit.

🧙‍♂️In this role, you will

• Create, execute, and maintain test cases for iOS, Android, and web applications. 
• Perform manual testing focused on functionality, usability, stability, and overall user experience.
• Validate application behavior across different devices, screen sizes, and OS versions.
• Test app installation, updates, permissions, deep links, push notifications, offline scenarios, and app lifecycle.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Linear.
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Execute regression, exploratory, and release testing before production deployments.
• Validate API integrations and backend communication.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and product quality.
• Support release validation through TestFlight and Android distribution channels.

👌 Role Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including commercial experience testing both mobile and web applications.
• Commercial experience testing iOS and Android applications.
• Strong understanding of mobile application lifecycle and testing best practices.
• Experience with API testing.
• Experience with TestRail or similar test management tools.
• Experience with Linear or Jira.
• Experience using TestFlight for iOS testing.
• Ability to investigate issues using logs, developer tools, and debugging utilities.
• Understanding of networking concepts and client-server communication.
• Proactive mindset, ownership, and attention to detail.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) or higher.
• Experience working in Agile teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Reflect or other low-code / no-code automation tools.
• Basic scripting or test automation knowledge.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.
• Experience creating QA documentation from scratch (test plans, checklists, release reports).
• Experience testing AI-powered or LLM-based applications.
• Understanding of mobile release processes (App Store Connect / Google Play Console).

💻 Working Conditions

• Employment Type: Full-Time (Project-Based Contract)
• Initial engagement: 2–3 months. There is a possibility of extending the cooperation or transitioning to a long-term position depending on project needs and mutual fit.
• This is a fully remote position with the entire team across Ukraine.
• Preferred working hours: approximately 13:00–21:00 (Kyiv time).
• 20 working days of paid vacation per year (prorated for the contract duration).
