Middle Python Engineer

We are seeking a prospective and ambitious Middle Python Engineer to join our team! Our client is the world’s acknowledged market leader in wireless communication systems for motorcyclists.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend features using Python. 
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and features from implementation through deployment. 
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues. 
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. 
• Keep suggesting improvements and ways to enhance the functioning of the software
• Ensure high quality and reliability of delivered features. 

Requirements:

• 4+ years of backend development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on Python development.
• Strong experience building and operating production systems on AWS.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable distributed systems (microservices, REST APIs).
• Experience working with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
• Experience implementing observability solutions using tools such as Grafana, Datadog, or similar.
• Strong understanding of backend design principles, clean architecture, system reliability, and performance optimization.
• Ability to take ownership of features end-to-end, from design and implementation to deployment and production monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Hands-on experience with, or a strong willingness to work with, AI tools to improve engineering efficiency and code quality.
• Good written and spoken English (Intermediate level or higher).

Nice to have:

• Experience with serverless architectures, including AWS Lambda and the Serverless Framework.
• Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL databases and relational data modeling.
• Experience working with additional cloud providers (GCP, Azure).
• Experience working with data platforms or collaborating closely with BI/Data teams.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
