Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly proactive and business-driven Business Development Manager (Individual Contributor) to own the full sales cycle, from hunting to closing new engineering services clients across the US and Europe.
High level of autonomy with the freedom to build your own approach, backed by the support and expertise of the wider Akvelon team when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle — from outbound prospecting and qualification through discovery, solution positioning, proposal, negotiation and deal closure.
- Build qualified pipeline through outbound, networking, referrals and industry events.
- Lead discovery conversations to understand business challenges and position Akvelon’s engineering services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure client needs are translated into compelling service proposals.
- Build trusted relationships with CTOs, VP Engineering, Product Leaders, Founders and other senior decision-makers.
- Win net-new engineering services clients across the US and Europe.
- Represent Akvelon at conferences and networking events to generate new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT outsourcing or software development services sales.
- Proven track record of successfully onboarding new clients.
- Experience working with US clients.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, drive processes and deliver results.
- Travel for conferences and client events.
- Advanced level of English (both written and spoken).
- Native or business-fluent command of the local language in your target market is a strong advantage.
