HR Manager
About Us
ODD Systems is a Ukrainian defense-tech company that transforms engineering innovation into solutions for national defense. Our mission is to create the weapons of the future—technologies that save lives and restore justice.
Our products — the Kurbas thermal imaging cameras and the Stus, Lupynos, and Horska FPV drones—are named after prominent figures of the “Executed Renaissance” and the “Sixtiers” movement. Their names, once synonymous with the struggle for Ukrainian identity, now protect our country on the battlefield.
Purpose of the Role: this isn’t a paperwork HR role. You will have a seat at the table, working directly with leadership to shape how our company grows. You’ll have the autonomy to experiment with new engagement formats, influence the organizational structure, and see the direct impact of your work on the team’s success.
Experience and skills we are looking for:
- The People/Business Partner: You have 3+ years of experience as an HR Manager or People/Business Partner, preferably in a start-up, fast-paced environment.
- The Strategist: You don’t just feel that the mood is low — you use data, surveys, and hypotheses to prove it and find a solution.
- Communication Pro: You are comfortable talking to people at all levels and have experience navigating tough conversations.
Process Builder: You love creating order out of chaos and have a track record of building people processes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Cycle Employee Management
Owning the entire employee lifecycle of a dedicated team: from a smooth onboarding experience to impactful development plans and offboarding.
Acting as the primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance on growth, internal policies, and company culture. - Performance & Talent Development
Partnering with team leads to conduct regular performance reviews, identify high-potential talent, and address growth areas.
Supporting managers in handling complex cases, conflict resolution, and feedback loops. - Retention & Team Climate
Monitoring team health through regular 1-on-1s, eNPS surveys, and pulse checks.
Identifying risks and implementing retention strategies based on data-driven insights.
Managing organizational changes, including team restructures and role definitions. Strategic HR Initiatives
Building and launching new HR processes from scratch aligned with company OKRs.
Analyzing HR metrics (turnover, engagement) to propose and execute improvements.
It’s a plus if you have:
Preferably experience in a start-up, fast-paced environment.
