About the Role

We are looking for a Financial Processor / Funding Processor with experience in the Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) industry to support the funding process from application through funding.

You will work closely with sales representatives, underwriters, merchants, and lenders to ensure funding files are accurate, complete, and processed efficiently. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of MCA workflows, lender requirements, financial document review, and deal packaging.

Responsibilities

• Review merchant applications and supporting documentation.
• Analyze bank statements, cash flow, revenue, and business performance.
• Identify inconsistencies, risk factors, and potential red flags.
• Prepare complete funding packages for submission to lenders.
• Collect and verify required stipulations and supporting documents.
• Communicate with merchants, sales representatives, underwriters, and funding partners.
• Submit deals through lender portals and monitor their progress.
• Follow up on outstanding stipulations and funding requirements.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and update deal statuses.
• Coordinate funding through final approval and disbursement.
• Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and lender guidelines.

Required Skills

• 1+ year of experience in the Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) industry.
• Experience as a Funding Processor, Financial Processor, Junior Underwriter, Underwriting Assistant, or Deal Processor.
• Ability to analyze business bank statements and financial documents.
• Understanding of:
  • Cash flow analysis
  • Daily balances
  • Debt-to-income/debt service ratios
  • NSF history
  • Risk assessment
• Experience working with multiple MCA lenders and funding partners.
• Experience submitting funding packages through lender portals.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice to Have

• Experience with FastDox, Salesforce, Centrex, Velocity, HubSpot, or similar CRM systems.
• Experience working with U.S. commercial lending.
• Experience reviewing merchant processing statements.
• Knowledge of lender-specific funding guidelines.
• Previous underwriting or underwriting support experience.
