WordPress Developer

We are looking for a versatile Web Developer to join our team for the technical support, maintenance, and development of a growing portfolio of web resources for our clients. The workload on this project is dynamic, and due to a recent increase in tasks, we are expanding our team.

📌 Project & Team Overview

Our team handles technical support and web development for various international clients. Requirements and tasks are gathered and managed by our project managers who coordinate directly with the client-side stakeholders.

• Team Structure: 1 Project Manager and 2 Web Developers (part-time). As we operate without a dedicated QA engineer, developers are expected to test their own code before passing it to the PM for final review.
• Format & Duration: Long-term cooperation with a flexible workload that scales based on incoming client requests.

🛠 Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Hosting & Infrastructure: Deploying dev/staging versions of websites, handling migrations, and managing server settings via hosting panels (e.g., Plesk).
• CMS Management: Updating WordPress core and plugins, sourcing and configuring new plugins, and ensuring website security and stability post-update. Managing and tweaking Shopify stores.
• Version Control & Databases: Working with Git, restoring websites from specific backup dates to safely test bugs, and managing environments.
• Frontend & Layouts: Creating new pages, posts, and blocks; building custom modules and promoting component reuse.
• Integrations & Bug Fixing: Troubleshooting and resolving various technical issues. Setting up forms, integrating payment gateways, email delivery systems, and notifications.
• Analytics, SEO & Security: Configuring web analytics and tracking (GA4 / GTM), tracking events, goals, and form submissions. Handling basic SEO optimization, domain management, and vulnerability patching.

🎓 Technical Requirements

Must-Have Experience:

• Strong proficiency in WordPress: working with page builders, configuring themes/plugins, and the ability to modify them.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress Multisite.
• Experience overriding templates within a child theme.
• Proven track record of creating custom widgets for page builders.
• Solid skills in Git, Docker, and assets compilation/build processes.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with DNS management and domain propagation.
• Basic remote web server administration (Ubuntu via SSH).
• Experience writing SQL queries and working with phpMyAdmin.
