About the Role
We're looking for a Performance Creative Strategist to shape and improve paid social advertising concepts for multiple ecommerce businesses.
Rather than producing creatives yourself, you'll focus on identifying effective messaging, customer insights, offers, and creative angles that improve acquisition results. This role is centered around strategy, research, testing, creative planning, and collaboration with production teams.
The right person enjoys analyzing what drives advertising performance and turning those findings into structured testing plans and actionable creative briefs.
Responsibilities
Creative Strategy
- Develop concepts for paid social campaigns across multiple brands.
- Define messaging, hooks, value propositions, and creative frameworks.
- Plan structured testing initiatives and maintain a roadmap of new experiments.
- Generate fresh ideas using campaign results and customer insights.
- Continuously expand the testing pipeline.
Market & Customer Research
- Review competitor advertising across Meta, TikTok, and other channels.
- Track creative trends and emerging opportunities.
- Research customer motivations, objections, and purchasing behavior.
- Identify recurring patterns behind high-performing campaigns.
Creative Briefing
- Prepare clear creative briefs for designers, editors, and content creators.
- Define campaign objectives, messaging direction, and creative structure.
- Provide strategic guidance during production.
- Review completed creatives and recommend improvements.
Performance Optimization
- Evaluate campaign and creative performance.
- Convert performance insights into future testing ideas.
- Maintain documentation of learnings and best practices.
- Partner closely with paid media specialists and growth teams.
- Improve internal creative testing processes over time.
Requirements
- 3+ years in creative strategy within ecommerce or performance marketing.
- Strong understanding of direct response marketing principles.
- Experience planning structured creative testing.
- Experience preparing briefs for creative production teams.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Hands-on experience with Meta advertising.
- Experience collaborating with media buying teams.
- Ability to support several brands simultaneously.
- Experience in fast-paced creative testing environments.
- Understanding of why certain creatives outperform others.
- Strong knowledge of customer psychology, messaging, hooks, and offer development.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- Agency background.
- Experience leading or mentoring creative professionals.
- Exposure to high-budget ecommerce advertising accounts.
- Experience with DTC consumer brands.
- Familiarity with advanced performance marketing and creative testing methodologies.
